Fedo had a couple of pretty good runs at AAA Albuquerque in 2011 and 2013. About 100 PAs in each of those seasons at AAA level. Of course the desert environment helped, but to have the season he's been having this year near the coast is encouraging. I don't see him breaking camp with the team next year, but he's a solid guy to have as a minor league depth piece. I prefer him to Kratz.

When they talk about the Red Sox having the best record, in the beginning of the season they had the handicap of playing the Marlins and Rays who played terrible. At least the Rays have been respectable lately.

isn't Castro out for the year? He was pretty durable when he was with us On MLB.com they have him on the ten day disabled list, with a meniscus tear in the right knee. I think that would be more than ten days.

I think that would be more than ten days. This was posted on MLBTR a couple weeks ago: “Twins catcher Jason Castro received unwelcome news upon completion of his previously scheduled knee surgery. He ended up requiring a full repair of his meniscus, which is expected to keep him out for the remainder of the season, as MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger was among those to report on Twitter.”

Very rare to strike out Kemp. Virtually no spin on that ball.

With Benintendi and MOreland coming up, I'd put Sipp in for the 8th and go to Giles in the 9th.

I didn't see Harris only threw 7 pitches last inning. Fine, keep him in.

Look at Harris back out there! What? A relief pitcher can pitch the 7th inning AND the 8th inning?

If Hinch is bringing Rondon in now, it should be with the idea of a 4-out save.
What I don't want to see is Rondon for one out and Giles in the 9th.

Sipp has only given up 2 hits in 20 times facing LHH this year. That's why I am comfortable putting him in there against guys like Moreland and Benintendi. But if Harris had only thrown 7 pitches, it makes sense to keep him in there.

Hinch shy's away from using him. How many left handed hitters have reached first by other means against him.

WHIP of 0.32 over this very limited sample of 20 hitters. I know Sipp isn't Doc Gooden but I do think he is throwing his best pitches since 2015 and is trying to make a case for staying in MLB past this season. Had Harris throw 15 or more pitches the previous inning, I'd have been fine seeing Sipp starting the 8th.
