Hope you watched tonight. In fact I didn’t. I’m kinda-sorta semi-retired (which means I only work 35-40 hours a week). In my off time I’m either gardening with my wife, fixing an old vehicle in my shop, or visiting my kids. Don’t always make time to sit still for a baseball game. BTW, I’m going to be a grandfather for the first time in September, so we’re excited about that. As for the Astros I try not to let the emotion of the moment overtake me. I take the season in 20-game or so bites. Losing 4 vs. NYY was particularly nauseating, but we’ll see where they are in a couple of weeks. They’re usually around .500 or so 25 games in. |

I hate to look ahead to May 13th but that could be a huge series vs The A’s. A chance to prove The Astros are much better than that franchise. I wonder if a new Golden astronaut holding a pick axe that’s for mining gold trophy will be introduced in the series. It can be called The battle of the cellar dwellers trophy! Trying to be an optimist here. Let’s turn this lemon of a squad into lemonade!

The beginning of the season schedule is about as brutal as it could be. Still concerning if we get swept in 4 vs The Yankees and then 3 to The Rangers in the first week of the season! At least this makes it clear we have tons of room for improvement before the trade deadline. |
