Actually, the A’s are pretty fired up right now apparently to stay out of the cellar. They are up on Detroit six nothing..The Astros will be looking up at the A’s from the cellar by the time the game starts at Texas tonight. Maybe that will light a fire under their ass. Speaking of the Tigers, I watched the end of their game today. After listening to Kirk Gibson, no one can complain that Bag's is a terrible color man. Gibson will put you to sleep. |

Have mercy this guy is awful. Yankee fans broke out the "Angel Sucks" chant a few times. How this guy continues to survive as a big league ump is beyond me. |

Korey Lee is off to a good start with the White Sox. Another catcher with moderate potential that we didn't want as much as Maldy. He's currently at a .375 AVG through his first 8 games.

Fortunately for this squad (currently last place) Tbe AL West is looking like it may be the weakest division for baseball. So, The Astros should be able to compete for first and last place at least through the first half. never out of it boyz! That series in Houston next month against The A’s could be a big one!

Now begs the question, what should one be willing to give for an often injured, mega star in his 30s with a horrible contract?
Or,
Trade Jose Abreu to Colorado for Kris Bryannt and a good prospect. Swapping bad contracts, except Bryant’s is for way longer, so the Astros get a really good prospect for doing so.

Hypothetical scenario here. If a Battle Of The Cellar Dwellers trophy was passed from A’s to Astros annually, who would keep the trophy year to year? The Cellar Dweller who won more games or the one who lost more games in the annual series matchup? I’m thinking the one who won more just like The Silver Boot. That way, even if the one who won the trophy finished with sole possession of the cellar at the end of the year they would still have something to be proud of that season. Now, if you lose the trophy and finish last? Let’s just say that would be bad…🤷🏻♂️
