I can't believe Luhnow is sitting on his ass and not getting a bat.....just heard Donaldson has been pulled from the lineup at AA tonight.....keeping my fingers crossed that we get him or Smoak.

It's not like he hasn't had chances. He let the Yankees get McCutchen and, as far as we know, is making no attempt to add . |

“6:23pm: Toronto is advising other organizations that it expects to trade Donaldson this evening, per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (Twitter links), who adds the Indians and Astros as clubs that have recently “shown interest.”
If it came down to Astros vs Cleveland to get Donaldson, Luhnow should certainly be able to put together a better trade offer than can Cleveland without hurting the farm system.

Astros need this type of trade. If they showed Interest in Abreu then Donaldson should be a no brainer.
Let's see how many AAA guys we can throw at them.
Fisher Reed and PTBNL sounds fair to me...
I get it you dont wanna trade Fisher but he needs to learn that his bat would make him a much better player.
I hope Tucker learns this. Or the Astros get smart and trade him for Realmuto... lmao

Luhnow needs to learn how to trade more aggressively. It really seems to be his weak spot. He has a great Eye for talent and has done quite well in that regard. But Bolstering the team in some areas seems to be Blind Spot for him.
Yes, he got Verlander but overall his Trades have been very poor. Both Pitchers last year sucked from the minute they were brought into the game.

I was looking at tonight scores and saw once again the Yankee's Pitching is having troubles. They got Cutch but they should have gotten more pitching in July or even this month.

Donaldson would likely move Gurriel to the bench and would make Gattis a spectator. No way White and Donaldson don’t lock up 1B/DH.

I don't understand what's there to be aggressive about trading for someone hitting .230 in less than 200 ABs. This is one of the dumbest trade targets I've ever seenWhy thWhy t Why that matches all the rest of the lineup except for three players. |

I'm saying Here everyone is looking for a Jolt as the Offense is hit or miss and more miss than hit. Luhnow let July slip by and the offense sputter more and he refused to give up second or third tier Prospects for a Player that could have helped. I still say it should have been Cutch but Luhnow doesn't do well in this scenario.
