Glad they over paid for a few months of Britton and not us. How did they get a higher prospect for Britton than Machado?

It’s time for the Astros to now get their lefty: JOEY VOTTO. Votto stays put. Krall pledged to increase payroll in the offseason

Rental acquisitions should be guys who can make a difference. I'm not even sure Britton would've done that for us since it's pretty much a given you'd be using him in high-leverage situations. It's probly even odds he would've progressed, plateaued or plungedThat being said Britton makes sense for NYY bullpen cause it's so elite right now. Teams can do worse than Britton as your 7th inning guy The onus is on Luhnow now to find that back-end reliever just to keep up with NYY and the Sawx. a list of names would help

I'm kinda glad we didn't get him. That price to me was steep I’m surprised the Yanks gave up Tate. He was a high draft pick and a top prospect. Teams don’t seem to care about intradivisional trades nowadays. Maybe the yankees did not give up too much. Tate does not seem to stay anywhere for long, what is up with that.

The question is whats is next? What or who? It actually makes it better . I feel Lunhow will jump for someone of interest. I dont think he likes it when the Yankees out do him. Its gonna get interesting

I don't think Rivero and Iglesias are going to get dealt. How's Cionel doing lately

It depends on how much faith you have in Smith and Rondón because last postseason proved that the other guys weren’t the steadiest of relievers.

Glad they over paid for a few months of Britton and not us. How did they get a higher prospect for Britton than Machado? I don’t think Tate is a higher rated prospect than Diaz who the Orioles got for Machado. Diaz was the Dodgers #4 prospect and is rated the #84 prospect in all of mlb by mlb.com. Tate is rated the Yankees #9 prospect and was not rated in the top 100 prospects in all of mlb by mlb.com last time I checked.

Why is no one mentioning Sergio Romo if there's news reports about San Diego prying away Chris Archer

Why is no one mentioning Sergio Romo if there's news reports about San Diego prying away Chris Archer It’s hard to get excited about Romo. Besides, relievers are golden to Cash.

At this point, I see them just going after Iglesias and Ramos. Wasn't there a report stating the reds and Iglasias had conversations and he stated he would stay forever if they allow. And the Reds dig that? I sure thought that was the case idk We shall see if he is moved

I misread the rankings. I thought Tate was ninth in baseball. I still think the Yankees overpaid. Article on MLBTR is saying that they gave up their #9, #15 and another decent prospect. Glad Luhnow passed on that one.

Also, their new manager is better than the old manager

time for Luhnow change of direction, nobody bidding on hitters right now. Red Sox and Yankees feel good about their line ups. Time to swoop in and get a bat, outscore everyone and then hope the kids can come up and do something.
