There have been various websites this summer speculating that Belt might be traded. I bet he'd like to get out of the SF cultural milieu and come home to Texas.
He has 3.5 years left on his contract. I wonder if Peacock, Nova, and Straw get it done.
Belt's presence would allow Tucker to mature at a gentler pace in Fresno. He would probably be among the team's 5 best hitters.

Belt would be popular with fans and I think Belt himself would be ecstatic to play in Houston.
A lot of the Astros players right now just don't seem very happy to be part of the team.

I'm thinking they may go after Harper. I'll guarantee you they've at least kicked the tires on him. His atrocious outfield defense would be somewhat mitigated in LF at MMP and I know he's down from a year ago, but I read where his babip is terrible. I just don't know what a few months of him is worth, but I'd bet it starts with Alvarez.
