No one gets everything right so for now I am ok with not getting a bat. Must of been a good reason why not. Maybe his phone died. lol More like he sat on his ass and fell asleep

Maybe his phone died. lol or maybe he dialed the wrong number Or maybe Luhnow decided not to mortgage the future for unfavorable returns. Sometimes the best trades are the ones that never happen.

I don't think Moore ever intended to trade Merrifield I think the Whit debate started with an Astros fan mentioning they'd like to get him. As usual on this forum, the idea takes root (based on nothing), and all of a sudden its discussed as if it were ever a consideration by the PTB.

The whole Morton to the pen thing is another example.

The whole Morton to the pen thing is another example. There was a time when the man couldn’t pitch five innings but was dominating the first time through the opposition’s order.

Time to focus on the rest of the season. Glad to see the trade season is over. Goodbye vodoo.

Once again Luhnow sat on his ass and hoarded prospects and we get no damn bat. He is going to get his ass roasted Two weeks ago, it was relievers that you claimed he needed to get off his ass and trade for. There's just no pleasing you. Maybe that spoiled, entitled Millennial thinking is not just an age thing

I’m kind of disappointed that Luhnow couldn’t have at least nabbed Ramos. I guess he’s okay with a third of the lineup consisting of Fresno standouts.

Personally I think they need more than just those two if they expect to repeat. Right now we can't compete with any of them the way they are playing and have been playing.

I just think it's odd that with all of these holes in the lineup that they weren't addressed.

Luhnow won a world championship just last season with his methods; I'm not going to question him. The team has seemed listless lately, but they're much better than they've played. It'll turn around. Plus, we've essentially been running the Fresno offense out there for a while, so I'd look for it to improve.

I hope to be proven wrong on Marwin and Co. Just go back and study the Back to Back WS and they weren't done by keeping Players that had Career Years or Role Players. You need fresh blood to keep it going.

I know nobody here likes stats that came after 1950, but the "Fresno Standouts" are producing at a better rate than most of our stars. (White, Kemp, Stassi at least. Tucker needs improvement.)
And, despite my defense of them, I'm not even close to sold on them. Yet, performance is performance.

Whether or not they perform, that’s not getting you another championship without the regular stars pulling the proverbial sled.
