Yeah but I just don't remember you saying we should sign JD Martinez is what I mean. And Corch never said Luhnow is an idiot for not trying to get Martinez even though that's something he would say Goldschmidt 2020 along with Altuve, Correa, Tucker and Bregman......and possibly Alvarez and Straw..... If Goldschmidt were an Astro right now, many would be calling for his benching because he's in his own slump right now. He's hitting 239 on the season thus far and even worse in the last 7 games. Fans get to over react. GMs, Coaches and players shouldn't and make fans mad when they don't. |

But I suppose it is possible that someone took offense and complained enough to get me banned intentionally. It's nice knowing if I'm banned here, it will be by someone who knows the situation. I do have a couple of requests if this happens. First, if it is necessary to ban someone, please message them and let them know why. Even better, let the board know why it was necessary. This should be infrequent enough that is won't cause a hardship on the administrators. Second, consider banning in increments with suspension lengths increasing with each additional infraction. The worst thing about fan posts dreaming about signing a favorite player is that there is always at least one wanker who has to play the "OMGZ the Arstos caint sine no big starz, cuz they broke/small/unpopular/cheep!!!!!1" card to shit on the fantasy of the other posters. Goldschmidt will be a FA after next year so he will be looking for a big contract in his age 32 season. Id do a 3 or 4 year deal but nothing longer than that. Up to this point in his career the most he’s made in a year is 11 million this season. Not a bad price for such a great bat. The likelihood it happening is not great, but how great would it be? I have a lot of faith In Luhnow's ability to do Jedi Mind Tricks. |

Nick Markakis (7th in wRC+ among MLB outfielders as of today)
Nicholas Castellanos (contract expires after 2019 season; 106 career OPS+ and running 130 OPS+ this year)
Denard Span (FA at end of this year; 103 career OPS+ and 119 OPS+ this year)
