Good all around game.....Altuve with some good at bats including a solid double to break his 0-19, Three hit night for George.........another huge night for Bregman. Gattis had ONE good at bat with the home run. White looked worse tonight than he has in quite awhile.
Another solid start for Valdez. We had such a big lead in the 9th that it waw safe to let Stassi come in to catch and Deetz made his debut and got the last two outs including his first major league K.
Now, let's hope we go to Fenway and hit on all cylinders and that includes gettng Correa going again. George seems to be back and Jose showed signs of being back. With some left-handers starting for Boston, I trust we see Jake in the lineup.

I'm sorry, who did I say didn't "get" statistics other than Coach (whom everybody here seems to think is pretty dumb anyways)? Tied with the falling Yankees for the 2nd best record in MLB. 34 games over .500 for the high water mark of the season. Tough matchup with David “bends but doesn’t break” Price. Love to see the Astros win 2 of 3 in Boston then head to Detroit and sweep the Tigers.

But all players are going to have ups and downs, and be fair and consistent with the logic you use. |

I think you can be a true fan without refusing to acknowledge shortcomings and weaknesses of a player, manager, GM, etc. If you will recall, I am one of those who pointed out how terrible was at the plate and needed to be sent down. He was sent down and then returned to hit pretty well before going on the DL . Since being activated, he hasn't been given a chance to show he can hit. All of this while Reddick and Kemp slump and neither is as good defensively, especially Kemp. |

i also hate the use of "dude", "bro", etc. I also hate the habit some people have of giving everyone a nickname........People have names, use them. I used to want to slug Alan Ashby for always referring to earned runs as "earnies". I celebrated when he was removed from Astros telecasts.
