For the record, OPS was not "dreamed up". All it is, is the sum of a player's OBP and SLG..... You may not like the value the attached to it as a number, but it is certainly not some make believe formula. Changes that need to be made. I don’t follow. Y'all were discussing slide rules and speeding up pace of play came up in somebody's posts. So I was just giving my opinion on pace of play. It has nothing to do with sliding affecting pace of play...

OPS works cause .900 is a good bar to measure a player's season, 2 months or since he got traded to his new club. And it's consistent across all player-types whether they're power or contact The reason I like RC better is it totalizes the player's offensive game by adding baserunning

OPS works cause .900 is a good bar to measure a player's season, 2 months or since he got traded to his new club. And it's consistent across all player-types whether they're power or contact The reason I like RC better is it totalizes the player's offensive game by adding baserunning I agree with all of that. I like OPS for just total hitting production whether run well or not.
