Ultimately the main overwhelming reason I'm watching the Texans this year is to watch JJ, in what is hopefully a return to full health. And, so far, it's been pretty encouraging to say the least.
After the quarter mark of the season he is currently on pace for:
80 Tackles 20 Sacks 16 Forced Fumbles
He has already tied his career high for Forced Fumbles with 4. He'll start getting doubled and triple teamed a lot more pretty quickly, but he has certainly set a great pace.
Khalil Mack is rightly getting a lot of hype and Aaron Donald is still excellent, but it's been encouraging to see that JJ's name has already been mentioned as being a contender for another DOTY award. I'd love to see him be the first and only player to ever receive 4 times.

Those three years he won the DPOY are probably the most dominating three years of one Houston professional athlete in Houston sports history.
The consensus is he is a HOF lock, even at his age. Like you said, let's hope he returns to form, and becomes the GOAT..
As a Saints fan, (pre-boycott) I am hoping Brees keeps climbing the stat list and becomes a top 5 of all time. I like his odds.

It still bothers me that he didn't get MVP back in 2014.

Brees can break the NFL record Monday for career passing yards. I think he trails Peyton by 201 With the new QB-protection penalty guidelines this season, Watt will be lucky to get 20 sacks

I think we can all breathe easier now that Watt is contributing more on defense. It’s very exciting.

He almost had another strip sacks last week but Luck got rid of the ball right before Watt hit his arm.

Now, it’s on to the business of crushing Cleveland a.k.a. The Land as their lame basketball jerseys have written on them.

Brees is an example of countless squandered talent on the part of the Chargers.

I was fortunate enough to see 2 of Earl Campbell's High School games. My parents graduated from Tyler John Tyler so I watched one regular season game and the High School Championship game. Those are cherished memories.

JJ had another sack yesterday putting him at 7 for the season through 6 games. Glad to see him come back healthy and playing well this season. Texans have now won 3 straight to get back to .500

Still tied for the league lead in Sacks. Unfortunately he missed an easy easy Sack later in the game and then appeared to have some sort of injury to his arm. He should have had 2 Sacks.
On pace for: 67 Tackles 19 Sacks 11 Forced Fumbles
Texans now tied for 1st place, amazingly.

We could sneak into the playoffs, but I don't like this team for anything more than one and out in the playoffs (if we get to the playoffs).

This team can not be a legitimate threat until the have a good OL...they have a ton of cap space for 2019....but as of now, there are not any elite OL FA available....and usually really good OL are not cap casualties (they get cut).

Watson did not have a great game and the Bills ate Houston’s o line for lunch. I was very disappointed until I noticed that the Bills actually have a very good defense
