You get there and anything can happen. Outside of LA, there aren't any seemingly dominant teams this year. Everybody has been up and down.

Even at age 29, I think most NFL pundits have already stated if JJ walked tomorrow, he'd still be in the HOF. How many under 30 athletes have been able to ever say that? |

I'd like to see him going for the ball a little more though. He seems to be heading straight for the QB every play and not even really watching where the ball is going. That may be what they've told him to do, but he was always dominant when helping to stop the running game too. Any TFL is just as good as a Sack, imo.

Had a strip sack cancelled out due to a penalty be the secondary and a half sack taken away by the scorekeeper for some reason also.
Another close game but still a win! 7-3

JJ won defensive player of the week for the first time since 2015. That has to feel good. He probably won't win DPOY with the way Aaron Donald is currently playing, but he's on his way to another fantastic year. He's already set a new career high in Forced Fumbles with 5 more games to go.

Yeah but they're limiting his snaps on defense even. He's not playing in garbage time and he's getting breaks during long drives as well (as he should). With as good as our offense is currently, there's just no need. |

Quiet day for the linemen on defense yesterday, even for JJ. He did get a tackle for loss and defended a pass. He also had the only QB hit. Should have better day against Indy next week.
Currently: 46 Tackles 11.5 Sacks 5 Forced Fumbles 3 Passes Defended
On pace for: 61 Tackles 16 Sacks 7 Forced Fumbles 4 Passes Defended
Aaron Donald is a monster again this year so DPOY is a pipe dream now, but it would be nice to see JJ get another all-pro selection and Comeback Player of the Year. A strong finish in the last quarter of the season should earn him both of those, I would think.

Not a great game for the Texans today. First loss since winning 9 straight games. They should still easily clinch the division, but they did not play inspired today.

The streak is over but they're still in a good position. A win would have temporarily moved them into the 2nd seed, but there is still a few games left. JJ had another Sack but a fairly quiet game overall from the defense.
Current: 48 Tackles 12.5 Sacks 5 FF 4 PD
Projected: 59 Tackles 16 Sacks 6 FF 5 PD

I posted after a particularly bad spot cost us a first down and an early whistle (in the grasp when he obviously wasn't) forced a field goal instead of a touchdown. Up to that point 100% of the calls were against the Texans and they were mostly bad calls.
Later the bad calls evened out. Refs had a very bad night. Or good night if you credit them with points on blown calls costing teams those points.
Please note, I do not believe they cheated us. I just believe they had a particularly bad night which effected the game. I think both sides were burned evenly.

Hopkins has now 500 receptions; and going by age, he was the 2nd fastest in nfl history to reach this milestone.
Andre Johnson was really good, a huge Texans fans' favorite, he will be in the HOF, but Hopkins is better
