All-Pro again for JJ. Also Hopkins, McKinney, and Clowney (for some reason).

I feel like Clowney has a stupid penalty every game.

I feel like Clowney has a stupid penalty every game. He’ll never live up to his draft pick, but he helps Watt, which I appreciate.

Clowney is certainly earning his Pro Bowl today.

Current: 57 Tackles 14.5 Sacks 6 FF 4 PD Projected: 61 Tackles 16 Sacks 6 FF 5 PD
With Donald having another excellent game yesterday that sealed the deal for his DPOY. Have to be impressed that Watt managed to get back to All-Pro form though. Hopefully he can finish the regular season with a bang and help clinch the division Sunday.

The division was clinched when the Steelers lost. It’s not the most exciting way to clinch a playoff spot, but I’ll take it.

So JJ finished with:
61 Tackles 16 Sacks 7 FF 4 PD
He finished 2nd in Sacks and 1st in FF. Any other year and he probably wins another DPOY but Donald had a monster last few games and ended up with 20.5 Sacks.
Still an elite year, and he has a great shot at Comeback POTY.

Not sure we will ever see him back to the absolutely dominating monster he used to be. But he will still finish as HOF, and in the discussion of GOAT at DE. That guy with the Rams is now JJ's heir apparent.

Good call. He is at 94, and I figure he can get 10 a year average for the next 5 years. 145 would place him 6th all time.

He had a frustrating missed Sack later in the game, but it was another good game for JJ overall. 5 Sacks away from 100 for his career.
Current:
13 Tackles 3 Sacks 1 FF 2 FR
Projected:
52 Tackles 12 Sacks 4 FF 8 FR

OL’s are more focused on stopping him now and it’s too much.

He's still having a good start to the season though. 50+ Tackles and 10+ Sacks would be quite good, especially with him drawing the bulk of the attention. That will get him to another Pro-Bowl. And I still don't feel like he is quite playing as good as he can. That missed Sack yesterday is an example. If he makes that play, his projections bump up to 56 Tackles and 16 Sacks.

Why is it in the JJ Tracker/Appreciation thread? Sorry, anytime I see anything Texans related I think of that rat kneeling.

I don’t have a problem with players kneeling. I just don’t see the point of it.

I’d like to know what the endgame is with the kneeling. I wonder before long they start to forget to do it.... The thing is, in about 20 years all of the players that kneel will not remember. Too many head injuries.
