All the people saying they wouldn’t have wanted Bonds are the same ones who are ecstatic when Osuna locks down those saves.

All the people saying they wouldn’t have wanted Bonds are the same ones who are ecstatic when Osuna locks down those saves. You're forgetting we had pitcher-Bonds (Clemens) for a stint. I think one dishonest player about PEDs in the club's history is probably enough for most fans

Barry Bonds was the biggest d-bag, but are you telling me you wouldn’t want him on your team? No I wouldn't. Needle hazard signs would have to be posted in the clubhouse. <iframe width="33.98000000000002" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 33.98000000000002px; height: 4.840000000000003px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_86387861" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="33.98000000000002" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 33.98px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1629px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_92547984" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="33.98000000000002" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 33.98px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_38253394" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="33.98000000000002" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 33.98px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1629px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT1_23371" scrolling="no"></iframe> No Bonds for me, either.

I doubt if he can continue his present pace until his mid 40's like Nolan Ryan did. I hope Crane doesn't treat Verlander the way McMullen did Ryan and decide he's too old and let him go. Nolan set the striekout record, won his 300th game, abd pitched 2 no-hitters in a Rangers uniform after McMullen refused to extend him. We don't need to make that mistake with Verlander. Sure, but remember that Nolan was a freak of nature even for back then. Nobody could have expected him to maintain his performance at that age (hell, he was arguably at his best as a Ranger). There will never be another Nolan Ryan. No pitcher will tie or break his record of 7 no-hitters and his strikeout record.

Descalso to the Cubs for $5 million over 2 years. That's actually really reasonable for a guy that averaged 12 HRs and a .343 OBP while seeing action at 5 different positions during his time with AZ.

I think one dishonest player about PEDs in the club's history is probably enough for most fansMy point was more regarding personality than PED’s, but Clemens wasn’t busted for anything while he was here. It’s entirely different when you are mostly sizzle and no steak like with Gomez. The only real reason to not bring aboard a productive jerk is because penalties are harsher than before.

I think most fans accept Gomez was a desperate trade that wouldn't have happened if Springer hadn't landed on the DL from getting plunked in the wrist that season. We didn't really lose anything dealing Brett Phillips and Domingo Santana for him

The bad part of that deal was trading Josh Hader for Mike Fiers

He said, "BIG NEWS COMING SOON." Which could mean anything. I highly doubt Luhnow calls Bregman and lets him know all the signings and trades he is working on. He's probably releasing another video of him over-tipping a waitress. Next. Cut the kid some slack man.

Bregman is a tool. I'm glad he is an Astro, but he's a tool. If by tool you mean a Frat Boy attitude, then I agree. But if you mean mean spirited and selfish, I disagree.

What does Luhnow do for pitching? 1. Trade away key prospects for a #2 or better pitcher 2. Trade away marginal players or marginal prospects for diamond in the rough pitcher 3. Re-sign Keuchel 4. Sign two diamond in the rough pitchers and hope one pans out.
