I don't know if anyone picked up has picked up Kratz yet, but he is a cat with nine lives. He was catching up here in AAA Scranton when plucked by the Brewers last season. Had a nice run in the playoffs. |

I think Luhnow needs to turn up the aggressiveness to win now. With guys like Stearns, Mejdal, and Elias leaving and diluting the pool of the brain trust of the Astros, the advantages our front office has on other teams has lessened.

Kratz seemed lost at the plate in the AL, but he had a few timely knocks in his stint with Milwaukee This is a tough time for him, unless he stays on as a reserve with the Brewers, which is probably unlikely. Nathan is a spirited one, but he’s right about the team needing to keep a revolving door with non-core players. Holding on too long to semi-expensive nonessential players like Yuli and Reddick isn’t a recipe for success. Now, you can’t just GIVE them away, but if something good can be had for them, why hesitate? I'm not against making the team better. But when you keep screaming we are keeping Kyle Tucker and Forrest Whitley. Why Bring Back Dallas Keuchal and Marwin Gonzalez? You make a small trade and bring in a better bat with Diaz but you wanna hurt his time in the bigs by Bringing back Marwin? You want to start Kyle Tucker everyday but dont wanna move Josh Reddick? You see thats how I look at a team. Think, Do we need Yuli if White makes a fraction of what he makes and under control for much longer? He may not be Elite at 1B, but how do you improve? Keuchal and Gonzalez need to just sign some where else. And the Astros have to move on from Yuli and Reddick. Save the money over a long term. It's like saying let's let Springer play till his contract ends or even do it today. He is 29yrs old his peek is now and he will decline as he gets older. He plays a postion where he can get hurt faster then most. He is reckless on the field. I would be ok extending him but not Past 33yrs old. And not as a CFer. I wouldnt want us to have a 35yr old injury plagued wannabe CF who is currently stuck at DH cuz he still has to years on his contract at 18m per. And cant hardly run to 1st base with out pulling a hammy. It hurts. But you cant get mixed up in your making the Fans happy for keeping a fan fav or owner favored player for a rediculas amount of money. This is why I pray they dont get cought up on Correa. He either stays healthy or they trade him |

The fact that so many professional athletes......especially black professional athletes.....show such a lack of respect for our country, our flag, and our president is alarming. What is worse is that so many of these guys are looked upon as role models by younger athletes. The likes of Kaepernick, Michael Bennett, Lebron James, Curry, and that bunch are despicable. I never knew that Betts was this low-class until I read this article. It's also a shame that Astros players like Bregman and McHugh have voiced similar liberal views. The main threat to our national security and freedom is not from some foreign nations, but, from the liberals in our own country. Disrespecting the president and our country is becoming all too common. Much of it comes from pampered, entitled pro athletes like Betts, a classless individual. |
