I was ready the second the Dodgers got their honorable mention ribbons again. Bring us baseball! MSN had a poll that half the country couldn't care who wins, Baseball will not start fast enough.

The O/U of this game was between 55.5-56.5. Someone had a brain cramp.

This game today was most likely the most Pro Football I watched all season.

Now, the Rams receive the honorable mention award. Los Angeles sports teams have been getting reamed recently.

Was watching 2018 postseason highlights just now. They’ve got to lock up Springer.

Among my friends at church is a gentleman who was the brother in law of Wade Phillips of the Rams and son in law of Bum. None of us have watched the NFL after they supported the players who chose to insult our nation and it's veterans on IT'S stage. Most of us had been fans for over 50 years. But no more.
Bring on the Baseball. Even Spring Training Baseball.

C'mon Astros get a backup catcher and a number 3 grade pitcher... Astros win world series I love how you conveniently overlook Brantley like that wasn't a significant upgrade and ignore the pipeline shock full of players who are primed to break out with performances which could match the ones of the expensive FAs for a song.
While prospects are not a guarantee, we've got ample evidence that FAs are no guarantee either. While GMs are slow to recognize the risks of FAs, they have shown evidence of getting it the past few years.
Steinbrenner's dead and his method of buying championships is dying as well.

Ummm, I didn't forget about Brantley....and how does that tie in with a backup catcher and #3 SP?

I thought you were referencing Chirinos as "backup" Catcher and Miley as #3 pitcher and complaining about Luhnow sitting on his Asp. But I could have you confused with others on the board. I miss sarcasm and now I'm seeing it where it isn't.

I think he is the best GM in MLB.

Marshall, we’re all a fan of Luhnow, but you don’t have to be his guard dog when fans get a little impatient.

I look for bounce-back seasons from several players. I think between the long post-season of '17 and the following demands on players time for appearances that they were exhausted. A couple of them have admitted as much. I also think Luhnow believes he has enough young options at P and OF that he's probably not too worried. I'd be fine with waiting until the deadline to acquire needs. As for Realmuto, I'd love to have him, but I believe Jeter is a checkers player when the game is chess.

I have seen where a lot of folks here have written off Correa or have lost patience with him. The kid is a freak and will have a huge year. He has the tools to be a top 5 MVP candidate and now has something to prove. Our lineup is so versatile, lots of ways to produce runs. I think that Brantley will have a big impact on the quality of at bats that Tucker has this year. He is such a professional and his knowledge will benefit many, but Tucker in particular will really go to school. I believe our staff will be okay. We have some really good arms that are either ready to contribute or almost there. I am excited to see them. We can always tap the keg at the trade deadline to pick up any needs we may have. You put a young kid on a staff with no head and he may struggle. But these kids are joining a staff with Verlander, Cole and McHugh (knows the job) and will fall in line quickly. Josh James has the stuff to be the real deal. Framber Valdez, if he can cut the walks down a bit, has a real shot a being a very good big league starter. His stuff is electric also. This is before we even mention Whitley, Martin or Bukauskas. We will be fine.

The concern isn't this year, imo. I believe we're going to tear up some assholes this year. The concern is past this year.
