Not to keep you guys in suspense, it is most of the same bull we already know. The only interesting fact I got out of it was the new wave of GM's don't want to put their security in limbo by making a bad signing and be held accountable. This was from the panel, most think Dallas will get at most a three year deal. Smoltz thinks he would be a good fit in Atlanta. How much more can the spin keep us on the edge of our seat.

It's pretty amazing that with all the teams needing pitching, that he isn't getting a solid offer (or maybe he is and Boras is still trying for more). Worst case scenario, you might end up overpaying Keuchel for what he produces, but he isn't going to be bad.

Epstein signed the most cringey contract in recent memory with Darvish, but since he's Epstein he'll likely get away with it. He and Dombrowski are two splurgy GMs that have job security

This was the winter after the Cubs failed title-defense come to think of it, so it's good to see Luhnow not panicking and offering a starter a 6-yr deal like Epstein did

Just for grins, what would you consider a fair offer for a Verlander extension? How much and how long?
How about a fair offer to extend Cole? How much and for how long?

Listening to the talk about Dallas today, his health issues that might happen down the road were a concern on giving him the years.

Mike is from Millville NJ, a die hard Eagle Fan. I know it is wiki, but it gives a good reason to be interested. As the Philly crowd tells me, they are back!!!

Interesting tidbit
Bryce Harper for 3yrs 90m for a chance at a ring with opt on on hit 3rd year to get a better long term deal when he is 28 to 29 yrs old?
Would the Astros be interested?
Honestly I think they are 1 of those 8 teams. I think this is the Lunhow guy, but is it the Lunhow move?
If you where able to do this, you would certainly have to make room and clear alittle salary. Reddick and Gurriel.
Food for thought fellas

Therefore, I am extending the olive branch to you....please share with us your trade proposal between the Mets and the Astros for Seth Lugo. What the Astros could offer and the Mets would take....Clue - it has to be fair and good for both parties...

It's out of the box type stuff that made everyone say where the hell did that come from I didnt even know we were interested. This seems like that type of deal he would be on. Think like this. Wife loves Texas. Bryce talks big about the Astros. (Several GMs confirmed) And to top it off We are always in the Playoffs know and we could give him a better deal after Brantley and Springers contracts come up. It's a perfect circle.
