The most dominating 3 consecutive games by Houston starting pitchers ever? September 23-25, 1986.
9/23/86 - Jim Deshaies 9 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K 9/24/86 - Nolan Ryan 8 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 12 K 9/25/86 - Mike Scott 9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 13 K
As good as the 2018 starting rotation was, they couldn’t match that.

Did y’all see that MLB is doing away with the Disabled List due to it being “offensive” Is that a joke or has MLB really bowed down to the PC police? They're spending the ENTIRE YEAR honoring Jackie Robinson again. How many times can you dip into that well before it becomes tainted.
Playing one-up-manship with the PC crowd passed ridiculous a very long time ago.

Concerning Harper..., the Astros have Reddick for 2 more years; they have Tucker; they have Brantley for 2 years; and they have Springer...the 2017 WS MVP...who they need to lock up on a long-term deal. Somebody explain to me why we would through the money at Harper... a lifetime.211 hitter in postseason play...that we could use to try and retain guys like Springer, JV, Cole, Correa, Bregman and LMJ.

No joke. Liberals are killing this country. SJW have taken over. This thread needs some music! The commentary before they start the song is what we're all feelin' right now. I turn on the tube and what do I see A whole lotta people cryin' "Don't blame me" They point their crooked little fingers at everybody else Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves Victim of this, victim of that Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat Get over it Get over it All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit Get over it, get over it You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash But you might feel better if they gave you some cash The more I think about it, Old Billy was right Let's kill all the lawyers, kill 'em tonight You don't want to work; you want to live like a king But the big, bad world doesn't owe you a thing Get over it Get over it If you don't want to play, then you might as well split Get over it, get over it It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak You're makin' the most of your losin' streak Some call it sick, but I call it weak You drag it around like a ball and chain You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down Complain about the present and blame it on the past I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ass Get over it Get over it All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit Get over it, get over it Get over it Get over it It's gotta stop sometime, so why don't you quit Get over it, get over it Get over it
Ironically, that song is by one of the most liberal, leftist singers lol

Is that a joke or has MLB really bowed down to the PC police? Not a joke. Well, it IS a joke, but they’re really doing it. An interesting story; Just 7 years ago I was talking to a sales lady who worked for me and she said that her nephew and his husband were coming to the company picnic. I said, that is fine they are welcome to come and she said of course they are. I said my how times have changed. She looked at me and said will you be offended if they kiss, and I took the bait and I said, look they can do whatever they want so long as it would not get them locked up in any decent society. She said what kind of decent society does not let people marry whoever they want. I said like it or not they are not married in the state of Texas. I said I think they have every right to be together and deserve every right and privilege that married people have but in the State of Texas they are not married. She said that is going to change. I said not in my world. She said your world is going to change. I said not if I can help it. She said you do not control the language we do and you will have to recognize them as married. I said I never will and neither will Texas. Guess I was wrong. he who controls the language controls the debate. Time to start taking back control

Time to start taking back control Not agreeing with sin is not bigotry, it is recognizing that righteousness extends beyond the passions of the moment. But GOD makes the rules (because he loves us) and we follow, not the other way around. God loves the sinners or we're all in trouble, so there's no need to be hateful about it. But we must not confuse the forgiveness that is offered with acceptance of sin which is often demanded from "society" which is filled with both ignorant and rebellious people.
The world is changing and will be destroyed. But not tomorrow. We have at least 1007 more years to go and maybe much more. But at least 7 years of that will be intolerable and could begin at any moment.

On another subject, what are the soft rules on extending innings on pitchers?
I've heard adding more than 30 innings to developmental pitchers is a bad thing, but how does that apply, specifically to McHugh who has pitched more as a starter before than he did as a reliever last year. How about James who totaled 137.1 innings or Valdez who totaled 103? Even Miley was limited to 106 due to injury.
Can we expect them to falter in the second half? will our prospects be near their innings limit at that point?
Just looking for our Achilles Heel.

Would love to watch his left wing head explode when i tell him our common ancestor was a large Georgia plantation holder woth a couple hundred of slaves.

It's a Ruse! JJ. I just hope Astros re-sign Verlander and Cole, and all will be fine. I am still wishing for them to trade for Lugo, because his repertoire matches perfectly with the Luhnow and Strom system. Lugo could be a long inning relief and a spot starter this year; and depending on how he does (hones his craft), he could be a solid starter next year.

Seems the Mariners think there is no market for EE.
Wonder what we could dump on them to gain him for the team?
