Its gotta be in the ten million range.
You think the prices of those available ViA trade are way to high or they just wanted him back?

Jon Heyman just said Realmuto to either Yankees if they can add alot more to Gary Sanchez as the package going back. Thinks there out.
Dodgers but they have two very much up and comming Catching prospects who are a year away and could go get a Chorinos or Suzuki to get them to that point but they could add 1 of them to that deal and being ok with it. Doubtful.
Astros they have a clear need and the fact that the Marlins know this is the reason why the price. He says Tucker is high but you have to look at what your getting. They could get the deal done with a lesser prospect impact deal but no one knows.
The Marlins will not trade in the division Nationals Braves and Mets are out. And unless there is a Dark horse it's one of the above
Another note. Paul Goldschmidt is on the Astros Radar and the recent add of Diaz could make other players moveable to facilitate the deal. Although this is a dream add to the club the Astros have to add power if they wanna compete and have there club feared down the stretch of there lineup.
They had zero talk about Pitchers to the Astros seems they are on the outside looking in on that one. From what Heyman has said there has been talks from the Astros about the two teams above. But other then that crickets

Per mbltraderumors.com, we've made some kind of offer to Morton. No details yet, but supposedly a one-year deal with an option for a 2nd year.

Could we see J.T. Realmuto and Derek Dietrich headed to the Astros for Kyle Tucker and Prospect or J.B. ,Yordan Alvarez, Garret Stubbs, Framber Valdez and Max Stassi?
Is it possible we see Paul Goldschmidt to the Astros for Tyler White and Tony Kemp?
This is gonna be interesting none the less. The Chatlie Morton offer makes since if they are not finding the prices to be wright.
Never know??? Its gonna get interesting soon

Astros have made an offer to CFM...one year with an option for the 2nd year. CFM was probably saying, “That’s right, bitches.”

CFM was probably saying, “That’s right, bitches.” You would think, unless he is injured, Morton can get paid in the $20M a year range.....so if the Astros didn't offer him a QO, to make him less attractive for other teams, and now they could be offering him less money than the $18M QO this year, with just an option for next year, tells us all, he has to be injured and might need surgery.

Astros management has a reputation for being somewhat insensitive to the nuances of being human. Morton has flown in the face of this perception given his first contract with the Astros and the fact that it was thought to be exorbitant when signed but seemed a great bargain in hindsight. Not giving him a qualifying offer was a continuance of this given the restriction that it would of placed on him with his stated goal of not pitching much longer and a desire to be closer to his home. So it would not surprise me that the Astros stuck their toes in the water and found out that 18 million would be a bargain for Morton so it would not surprise me if the offer was for around the qualifying offer amount with an option for another year based upon his pitching a set number of innings.

After looking over the Diamondbacks roster and their prospect depth my guess is an offer of White, Ferrell, and Dawson could net us Goldschmidt.

So you place very little value on White. I think White is a 800 ops hitter. And they trade 1 year of a 900 hitter for 5 years of an 800 hitter plus a couple of guys who could be good.

Could we see Is it possible we see Paul Goldschmidt to the Astros for Tyler White and Tony Kemp? That would result in the public hanging of AZ''s GM. Those two packaged might get his jock strap here. Let's wait till 2020, and sign him outright.

We NEED Morton.....I'm guessing this deal gets done We need someone, I don't know that it needs to be Morton. So, what's your issue with Morton? He putperformed Keuchel, whom you've spent the past 3 weeks hyping. Seriously, did Ghick take over your account?

Why would you want to trade 5 years of an 800 hitter plus a couple of guys who could be good for 1 year of a 900 hitter? Two reasons; 1. Because White is not a good fielder and so his overall value is diminished 2. I firmly believe that once Goldschmidt gets here he will enjoy himself and want to stay. Two more reasons; 1. I really want another World Series trophy and next year is our best chance for a couple more years 2. I place very little value on Ferrell and Dawson.

Seriously, did Ghick take over your account? When did I say I have an issue with Morton? I posted before that I would like to bring him back for the right deal, but we don't NEED him specifically. Therr are other pitching options available. And Morton's age and health concerns me more than anything. If you're going to compare the two, Keuchel has a higher ceiling and a way better track record of success outside of 2018. I don't need to "hype" Morton because our what have you done for me lately fan base is already all gaga over him.

2-year $10 million deal for Suzuki. Have to imagine that Ramos and/or Grandal is going to get 3-4 times that money-wise easily.

I’m not the biggest cheerleader of Morton but give him a tad more due than that.

It wasn't even necessarily a disagreement, I just meant we didn't need him specifically if the right deal couldn't be worked out. There are other pitching options that can be explored. Thanks for automatically making a snarky comment to defend Corch again though, I guess.
