l had Probablity and Statistics in college........I enjoyed it. glad you passed. Oh No! Now we have something else in common. I loved Probability and Statistics as well.
I also loved producing Algorithms and Boolean logic formulas for spreadsheets. But I hated mainframes.

I'm slowly getting around to giving everyone their own, personal forum title. I need input on what to name bearbryant, paastrosfan, and abregmanfan. And maybe others, once they start posting again. I purposely skipped a couple because of my suspicion that they'll get offended by it.
Funny thing is that some have had their title for a while, but don't realize it because they post via phone rather than computer.

Handled Probability and Statistics with no problems........Calculus was another story. |

Mine gives me a giggle because when I visited the Rangers mlb board the local Negative Nelly called me a Forum Invader. In his case, he was expressing hostility toward me but I laughed it off. Consider the source. Here it's a more playful jab. I hope sempersmom has the power to do those as well. I think our green overlord shouldn't be immune to being pwned occasionally.  |

One of the Classes I took was Probability and Statistics class actually got Staight A's in that class probably only class that happened. NO, I did OK when I wasn't in my own Private Hell at the time. ALso took a Class called Narcotics and Drugs, Knew more about them than the Teacher. LOL There is more to that story though. Congrats Armed Frog, by the Way, I admire that fact that you continue to get more education. |

Unfortunately, it's a requisite course in my MSN in Leadership/Mgmt. I certainly wouldn't take it if it weren't forced on me. It's the last non-healthcare course I have to take, and looking forward to putting it behind me. The problem with being an old guy in school is that every time you have to take some horseshit course, you say things like "What in the shit? Why do I need to take this horseshit?" a lot. I'm not considering an FNP...IF I did a NP, it'd be Neonatal. Unfortunately, most of those programs in the US have closed, making it nearly impossible to get into the ones that remain. Plus, it's too late in my life for that. I might do the Healthcare MBA, though, if I have the energy after finished this masters. |

If you were to ask the person who constructed the course load for your degree to explain the rationale for including this course they would be hard pressed to give you an acceptable answer. If they told you the truth they would simply say that they are not getting many people to take the course without prompting so for them to put enough butts into seats to justify the staff's costs they simply require it for non related fields of study. |

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I didn't see anyone post about it. Salvador Perez is undergoing Tommy John surgery. There was some rumors and rumblings about us going after him. I'm glad that didn't come to fruition in light of the injury now.

But with other areas to fill (like pitching) next year, don't you think it's better to use available money for that rather than 35 year old catchers when you have two young controllable catchers already? I’m wary of having a guy on the roster because he can frame pitches. Conger was another example of a subpar player whose value was bloated by certain stats. Framing isn't the only thing though. It would be one thing if he was as bad a hitter as Raul Chavez or something, but he has proven to be a decent hitter for a catcher (thus far), and his arm is about league average. |

Yes, i agree that money should be spent on pitching, but, we don't know how much keeping Chirinos would cost us. Until a better option arises, I would not get rid of him. Sure, but you don't normally tend to want to give our prospects much of a chance to prove themselves. |
