Some of those more extreme numbers (like xSLG over .800 or xOBP under .280) will approach more normal/realistic levels as the players get more PAs. I limited this table to guys who have gotten at least 23 PAs in ST so far.
Example: Bregman has had 6 walks and 2 HRs in only 23 PAs. Because walks and HRs are not factored into BABIP, that skews his xStats but if he were to get 40 PAs like Alvarez or Fisher have, the skewing would be less.

I'm rooting against it, since it'd mean in all likelihood McHugh and Harris haven't gotten a handle on things Grab a Snickers if you’re expecting too much from Harris. I lower my expectations for everyone on the roster. It's the secret to enjoying the season I've found

I'm a very forgiving person, so I tend to expect the best and forgive those who do not meet my lofty expectations. It's just another path to enjoyment.
So you can have low expectations and I high. But I hope we both enjoy the games.
Now those who have high expectations and are unforgiving? They will almost assuredly be disappointed at something or someone. But that must be their version of happiness. That is, to be disappointed makes them happy.

But that must be their version of happiness. That is, to be disappointed makes them happy. I have a little different philosophy in that I am a firm believer in setting blue sky goals. If your goal in life is to get up out of bed and eat breakfast then usually it is pretty easy to hit that goal. If your goal is to win a world championship then that is a tough one. The secret to happiness for me is in the accomplishment of intermediate goals. For instance winning the world series is always going to be the blue sky goal. The intermediate goals for 2019 would be winning 100 games, having two of the young guns establish themselves as legitimate mlb starting pitchers (eras under 3.5), having Tucker and Alvarez establish themselves as legitimate mlb hitters (ops of 800+), getting bounce back years from Correa and Reddick, and having a couple more of the young guns show enough to allow us to see them in the rotation for next year. So in the final analysis if we do not win the world series this year due to a couple more bad breaks like last year but get most of the intermediate goals accomplished then this year will be a success.

No matter what your expectations may be, we’ll always have 2017. That always gives me solace.

On the bright side, this team can’t get any more injuries than last season. Even with all that, they still won 100+ games.

We could lose Verlander and Cole to early long term injury, and lose 100 games in the process.

Correct. no one cant take that from us, and being an elderly Astros fan from early '60s, I was really becoming afraid I would not see a championship in my lifetime. It was like checking off a bucket list item.

So despite averaging 33 HR 90 RBI .804 OPS (113 OPS+) 2.1 WAR over the last two years, Moustakas has yet to make as much guaranteed money in free agency as he would have received if he took his QO last year from KC. Provided his option next year doesn't get picked up, he'll have made $16.5 million over 2017 and 2018 combined when he could have taken a 1-year $17.4 million deal with KC after 2017.

OTOH, that bank busting contract increases the chances he may be one of the greatest players in MLB history never to make it to the WS.

My trusty calculator says Trout + Pujols = $64,000,000. (One year folks)
