So with Verlander's extension, he should fairly easily get his 3000th K as an Astro in 2020. That would move him into 18th all-time (maybe 17th depending on how CC does). The only pitcher with more than 3000 Ks and not in the HoF is Curt Schilling. If he can continue to average at the rate he has done as an Astro, he could potentially move into the top-10 before his extension is over. No point to that tidbit. Just information. What’s the deal with Schilling? Was he in the Mitchell Report? The way he was kicking ass with Randy Johnson, you’d figure he’d have gotten in by now. He criticized the media. |

That guy has all the potential in the world but he's apparently made of glass. Hopefully he just needs some rest before OD. Otherwise, pencil in Diaz and hope that he can be at least as productive as Marwin. |
