Looks like the Cards are making a run for Goldy They where denied the the 72 hour window Jon Heyman Stlcards will be getting Goldy Francred's Jon Heyman reports that the Cardinals "will be getting" Paul Goldschmidt from the Diamondbacks. No word yet on what the Diamondbacks will receive in return, though it's probably going to be some form of young pitching. Goldschmidt hit some rough patches early on in the 2018 season, but he was a force in the second half and ultimately finished with a Goldy-like .922 OPS with 33 home runs in 158 games. He's due to become a free agent next winter after pulling in a $14.5 million salary in 2019. |
