I'm just not sure signing a will-be 32 year old 1B should be a priority us for next off-season with the pitching holes we'll have. I guess we'll see what kind of production we get in 2019. He will resign with St. LOUIS The club is a perfect match for him. 4yr 100m Again, you are talking out of your ass and speculating. You have absolutely no clue where he will sign, the number of years he will get, or how much money will be involved. You also don't know WHO makes him an offer that he will accept. If Crane and Luhnow want him, the money is there to get him.

Good point, but he seems to avoid the injury bug, and appears to do well with his conditioning. (155 games + in 5 of his last 6 seasons). I vote for a '20 signing. Yeah, I'm good with it if it's reasonable. Especially if it looks like we won't be able to extend Springer.

I hope he wants to come home. Texas Forever! No doubt But he is in a place where they work big magic long term deals. MCGUIRE, EDMUNDS ETC All acquired and stayed long term If they work "magic and long term deals", why did they lose Pujols to the Angels?

Pujols to the Angels was a LOSS for the Cardinals? First time I heard that one considering the numbers he put up in St.Louis and what they did while he was there, i would call it a loss. What have they done since he left? Nothing.

I like to have options and I don't see Correa and Springer going to both re-sign, so Goldschmidt has more reasons to sign here...he is a big Astros fan.

And the funny thing about it, probably the best move they ever made. ACE's (Ass Diamonds) boy still gets the following : - $87M additonally through 2021
- $10M personal services contract after he retires for 10 years $100M

not to mention he can't field a position anymore. Or beat a tortoise to first base

Cardinals acquired 1B Paul Goldschmidt from the Diamondbacks for RHP Luke Weaver, C Carson Kelly, INF Andrew Young, and a 2019 Competitive Balance Round B draft pick. Can you read? Maybe you got Jake pubes in your eye. Take a minute. Okay..... MLB.com now reporting a trade with STL. This sucks. Nathan is awaiting your mea culpa, sir

It is strange that a lot of guys put up good numbers before signing with the Angels..........CJ Wilson was a pretty good pitcher for the Rangers but was horrible and stayed injured in LA. The Angels signed Josh Hamilton and then had to pay the Rangers to take him back. pujois has steadily declined since he left St, Louis.......age and injury has a lot to do with it. The Angels will be paying him off for several years,

Kept $30 mm a year in their pockets while he rode the Injury Train they ain't won a damn thing since he left....that is my point . We saved a lot of money when McLane let Hampton, Wagner, and those guys walk, too, But, we didn't win squat until Drayton sold the team and Crane and Luhnow rebuilt it. And regarding Charlie Morton..........he won't ask for something unreasonable. Besides, he earned whatever he gets in game 7 of the 2017 World Series. If they don't sign him, they are nuts.

Logically it has to be...the Astros need to solidify their rotation, and they didn't even offer Morton a QO...no true suitor has presented themselves on Morton, just speculation... If we all step a step back I am sure we can see things do not add up.

According to the article I read this morning over on the Astros main site, the Astros have the fourth best rotation in baseball as it sits right now. They did freely admit though that to expect to get 5 innings out of Peacock on a regular basis would require mass quantities of cannabis. We need to hurry up and get Happ before the Yankees lock him up.

Boston's rotation was rated as fifth best without Eovaldi. Guess we move back another rung on the pitching side as well. Come on Luhnow do some magic, getting kind of lonely out here.
