Jesus. I just put out that his projected numbers were decent. I'm blaming you when Luhnow signs Fiers' tattoo for 3 years. Luhnow is not going to sign that bum.

But it's closer to 3.5 than 5. Boom. Maths. I'll just say again that every single Astros player on the earth is glad you're not in charge of talent evaluation for our favorite team. If you were, we'd have Fiers and Stassi, and would not have Altuve. don't low-rate Stassi or you will be accused of blasphemy.

I hate how baseball now faps over 4+ ERA’s and 160 IP. Who is fapping? Nobody anywhere is out there lusting over Fiers. I wasn’t specifically talking about Fiers.

I was thinking the same...LIGAF about Ronald Torreyes. I don't know of this Ronald guy, but then again how are we sure that VD spelled his name correctly? Could be someone noteworthy, albeit $800k probably means he isn't.

Here's an odd one Yuli Gurriel and PTBNL to Tampa bay for Tommy Pham We are still banking on the Kemp + no-name player for Trout and Ohtani...and until that happens, we don't hear anything more from you...once it does, then please proceed with any other "throw it on the wall and see if sticks" mock trades.

right now the consolidated average of the projected performances has us scoring 785 runs and giving up 575. Fangraphs has us at scoring less and giving up more. Their projected record for the Astros is 95-67 as we sit here right now. They have Boston ahead of us by only by 1 game. Granted no one has a clue how things will break and the most accurate projections one year are terrible the next but it is interesting to see how adding a guy or two will change this as the off season goes along.

I believe as our team is now we can win our division. However, we need help on offense and the rotation to make it back to the World Series.

Bregman alone can’t get it done.

Sounds like Astros Chasing as follows
Starting Pitcher Bull Pen Arm And 2 bats
This is according to Heyman
And even after signing Chironos dont count out adding another Catcher. It all falls on what's prices are

When asked what’s on the Astros’ front burner, Luhnow said starting pitcher, “maybe adding an arm to the bullpen potentially and another bat or 2 for the lineup.”

When asked what’s on the Astros’ front burner, Luhnow said starting pitcher, “maybe adding an arm to the bullpen potentially and another bat or 2 for the lineup.” I hope he remembers Altuve is coming off surgery, Correa is constantly hurt, and Reddick is unreliable. We also have no DH. Starting pitching is a need, but it’s not all we need. I do like how he mentioned relief pitching. I wasn’t overly impressed with Osuna last season. I still feel that Pressly is our best reliever.

Jesus. I just put out that his projected numbers were decent. I'm blaming you when Luhnow signs Fiers' tattoo for 3 years. If Luhnow took my advice from this board, Gattis would have been our backup catcher this whole time, and Marwin would never have been a starter.

It's a rumor. Says it's a fit Ray's want a 1B badly. Astros had alot of interest in Tommy Pham I still don't see how that benefits the Rays. Do they have a surplus of all-star caliber OFers to where they don't need Pham?

Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports reports that the Astros could consider Josh Harrison as a replacement for Marwin Gonzalez.
This makes a lot of sense on paper. Harrison doesn't have the power that Gonzalez does and hit just .250/.293/.363 last year over 374 plate appearances, but he does offer some speed, and he's capable of playing around the infield and the corner outfield positions. That versatility could come in handy, but there are several other suitors for Harrison's signature right now. There aren't too many who make more sense as a fit than the Astros, however.

Gross. We don't need that. Makes no sense. From what I have seen, they expect Diaz to replace Marwin........although they could still re-sign Marwin but I don't expect that to happen

Of those three, Brantley is the clear choice, although keeping Marwin would be my preference if we can't sign McCutchen.

Mlbtraderumors said Brantley could be looking for a Carlos Santana type deal, 3 years/$60M.... I don't think the Astros would be inclined at all...He is just way too much injury proned.

I would sign Brantley to play 1B. And emergance OF. 20 million wont happen 15m per maybe
Avisail Garcia or Derek Dietrich then would be the next signing to play LF.
Cruz then would be next as DH emergance LFer

I'm beginning to think we'll see Tucker in left for at least 200-250 PA and if he's still struggling at that point, some player on a team already out of it who is having a good year could be picked up for the playoff run. But if Tucker begins doing what they expect, left field is set.
The same thing may apply to Realmuto if the Marlins think they can rob someone and don't find a willing victim. Perhaps a mid season trade to a contender might be preferable than holding on to a declining asset based on his shorter club control.
But this is PURE SPECULATION and not to be confused with a REPORT or even a RUMOR which has no validity without someone with inside knowledge of the thinking of those who actually put these things together.
Repeating other peoples speculation is not even a rumor. It's more speculation. It's fun, but should never be confused with the others.
