Nathan Evoildi almost picked Houston because it was his home town but finally decided to go back to Boston.

According to Sources Myles Straw would have to be involved as a piece in any trade for Kluber, Baur or Syndergaard

My granddaughter is on the spectrum. Who else did I say was autistic that leads you to cast this aspersion? Show me. In my search on this forum it only yielded Eddie...but I am willing to bet Sherwin's pinky toe that there has been more, definitely on the old forum... I remember you saying your grandchild on the spectrum, if you remember, my oldest son is as well...

I have been hearing today that they may be using him as the closer now that Kimbrell is probably gone.

Arizona is now saying that they do not intend to do a complete sell off and are comfortable where their salary is right now (65 million committed with Grienke). Could be posturing and it could be real, if it is real then time to change directions and go for Fulmer or Stroman. My money would be on POSTURING if I were a betting man. I have to known to wager from a time or two and my money would be on posturing as well.

What an overpay for a 2 Time TJ Surgery guy that has only had one good year....and now convert him to closing at that pay, wow...

He got that deal based on what he did in the playoffs.

Would you guys be happy if the Astros pulled Micheal Fulmer and Nick Castellanos in one trade then turned and nabbed both Stroman and Realmuto? This not counting any FA yet

Yeah if we can get Fulmer and Castellanos without giving up Tucker, Whitley. Stroman, I wouldn't be interested. Realmuto, yes only if we don't have to give up the former prospects I just mentioned.

Astros have intereast in Daniel Murphy to play 1B/LF and Micheal Brantley.
Sources say they could try and sign both on 3 yr deals.
J.A. Happ wants a 3yr deal wont accept less.
Nelson Cruz no news but alot of intereast

This not counting any FA yet It all depends on the cost. There's only half of an equation there. EVERY player can be overpriced, even the best ever. The key is having sufficient resources and players to get the best team and has a annual shot to go all the way.

How much patience should they have with Tucker? Not everyone hits the ground running like Ichiro or Fred Lynn. More than 60 something At Bats, son. I really like Tucker. I’m just hoping he doesn’t succumb to the pressure of a sink or swim situation. Maybe he’ll eventually thrive like Bregman. I’m not sure if I’d even do a trade with him and Realmuto straight up.

I just checked mlb.com’s Top 10 prospects by position. Whitley is ranked the #1 righthanded pitching prospect in baseball. Tucker is rated the #3 outfield prospect. Alvarez doesn’t get nearly as much attention as those two, but he is rated the #9 outfield prospect. Alvarez is projected to debut in 2020. Looking down the road a few years.., if we can extend Springer, an outfield of Alvarez in LF, Springer in CF and Tucker in RF might not be too shabby.

Astros owner Jim Crane tells t.co/mDPUQDOoCt the team's payroll is set to rise again if the right deal comes down. "We can flex it up if we need to and still be in good shape," he said. More: t.co/1GPCMnwJSJAnd the big one Bryce Harper Las Vegas rundown: He’s met with several teams here off site in his hometown. And has a few more to go. Also, a “mystery owner” has flown in to visit with him. It's funny how alot of people think Harper is on the Astros short list I guess we shall wait and see

An interesting target Fransico Carevelli and Corey Dickerson?
Dickerson is being shopped.
Wow that would be a Crazy trade to do. I Like Dickerson as a LF. And Castellonos as a DH. That would be interesting
