Chirinos will end up being Luhnow's big FA signing.

2-years $19 million with possible up to $26.
It's a fair deal for Ramos, but I'm not sure he would have improved us $14 million more than Chirinos.

Another suitor falls off the Realmuto bandwagon. Jeter might end up keeping him.

Another suitor falls off the Realmuto bandwagon. Jeter might end up keeping him. Maybe most GM's decided not to get fleeced over a catcher with only two years of control.

Mets out of J.T. Realmuto. Braves out of Realmuto Could lunhow sneak in and slap em I was thinking the same thing. But Miami still has to decide whether they want to waste his value as a trade chip by holding out for the moon or become reasonable. So far, the hope for the moon is winning.

Man, I’m so tired of hearing about Realmuto. I don’t find him that interesting with his measly two years of control.

It looks like they’re rolling with Carrasco for the future. A major win would be in swapping Reddick and Kipnis and adding him to the bench for Tucker. Get Brantley, and if lucky, Cruz as well.

I don't think we give up Whitley or Tucker in any trade. i’m thinking Luhnow may have been willing earlier in the offseason to trade Tucker...the number 5 prospect in all of baseball...and some lower ranked prospect(s) for Realmuto, but Miami overplayed their hand and demanded more. At that point, I believe, Miami blew whatever chance they had of getting Tucker from Houston. If Tucker ever was on the table, he obviously isn’t anymore. If Miami swings back around to Houston, they will have to take a deal that doesn’t include either Tucker or Whitley now. The statements Luhnow is making now leave little doubt that he is committed to both Whitley and Tucker for the future. I’m betting Realmuto ends up with the Dodgers.

I dont think it has to be either of them.
I think we could start a conversation with White Stassi and Kemp with some prospects. J.S. They keep asking for MLB ready proven how are they not Proven?
I just dont understand how Jeter and Company have messed this hole thing up

I just dont understand how Jeter and Company have messed this hole thing up The fact that Jeter was a great player doesn't mean he knows anything about the business end of running a franchise. All he has done since becoming involved is get rid of his best players and I think they want to deal Realmuto but badly mishanded negotiations with prospective trade partners. No way does Luhnow deal Whitley or Tucker for Realmuto or anyone else.

Thank you, sir. I’m rooting for you in the schoolins. Thanks. I've done it all before, just never at this age. And never 100% online. Gonna have to find some time management and discipline somewhere... When are you starting again? Your Asian parents are waiting...

Get Brantley, and if lucky, Cruz as well. I don't want to trade Tucker at all, because the lack of immediate top quality OF prospects in the Astros farm..plus the current Astros OF could use a spark....But if for some reason Luhnow decided he needed to make a big move, thus trading our top hitting prospect, I would rather see the Astros trade Tucker to the Indians for 3 years of Kluber than to the Marlins for 2 years of Realmuto...

Agreed. I think Kluber in our rotation would be much more benefical that Realmuto. I think a combo of Chirinos and Stassi can put up decent numbers.

I think people focus too much on wanting the absolute best ever catcher, because we've never had a good one. Winning has exacerbated the fanbase's expectation of having Ted Williams at every position in the lineup.

Ausmus couldn't hit the ground with his bat.
