Does Halladay get in on the sympathy vote? Is Berkman worthy>
It's time for Rocket and Bonds to get in. Edgar's last chance, too.

I'm curious how Pettite will do, especially with him being associated with NYY. And I might give a homer vote to Berkman, too.

Pettite may eventually get in, but there is no way he should get in before Mussina, Schilling, Halladay, or Rivera. (And Wagner in my biased opinion.)
Berkman is like Oswalt to me. They certainly had some good enough peaks and impressive respective percentages, but they just didn't reach enough impressive milestones (or even secondary milestones). 300 Wins, 3000 Hits, etc. are mostly going to be a thing of the past, but neither of them even reached 200 Wins, 2000 Ks, 2000 Hits (or 400 HR), etc.
Berkman = Fred Lynn Oswalt = Saberhagen

Who are you voting for? (Up to 10 names) Without looking up stats: Rivera, Clemens, Bonds, Mussina, McGriff, Wagner, Manny, don’t care.

NO: Bonds and Clemens. I would never vote for them due to steroid use. Bonds was a great hitter and Clemens one of the best pitchers of all-time,but, I can't vote for those who cheat.
Rivera Martinez Mussina Schilling (who is being blackballed because he speaks out against liberal BS) McGriff Young Walker Halladay Wagner Sheffield
I want Berkman and Oswalt to eventually get in......yes, I am biased where former astros are concerned. Jeff Kent was one of the best hitting second basemen of all-time, but, he was also one of the worst in terms of defense.

I didn't research but I believe the guys I said yes to that used PEDs, we're people on pace for HoF careers anyways, and also didn't get suspended. (Ex. No Manny)

I don't want Sosa, Palmeiro, or any of that steroid crowd in the HOF nor do I want Pete Rose's crooked ass in it either.

I’ll agree with Coach about Pete Rose for reasons I’ve said ad nauseum previously.

Unless the general standard for HOF has been lessened, I don't see 10 there that deserve it.

Not only that but also making fools of his own fans for decades while milking money off of books about his innocence. I think that’s a little worse than having Canseco inject PED’s into your gluteus minimus.

I think Pete Rose belongs in as a player. If we kept players out of the Hall based on their immoral behaviors, we'd have a lot less players in it. As a player on the field, the guy was iconic and a great example.
Poor human being for sure, but a great player.

If that type of cheating were allowed, then the league should be discontinued.

I know he did as a coach (and therefore would be barred from anything coach-wise).

Rose was guilty as hell. If he wasn't, he would have fought the charges a lot stronger than he did. There should be no place in baseball for assholes like him.
I could see maybe letting Clemens in as I'm not sure there was proof of his steroid usage. No doubt in my mind that Bonds is guilty of using them and no bigger arrogant asshole ever played the game than this SOB.

It sounds to me that it's personality that you don't want in, not actions. Is Keuchel banned because he bared his ass?
