Keuchel showing ass = lifetime ban from baseball

It's already set a bad precedent to allow some immoral activities and not others, imo. It sounds to me that it's personality that you don't want in, not actions. Is Keuchel banned because he bared his ass? We won't have to worry about Keuchel getting in the HOF even if he hadn't bared his ass. He isn't close to being good enough. Showing his ass should not keep him out.........if he deserved to be there......showing his ass shows a lack of class and character, in my opinion. If Keuchel needs to show his ass to get attention, maybe he should get out of baseball and get into porn.

Yeah I don't get why not McGriff at this point. I didn't believe he was worthy a while back, but he is certainly more worthy than Baines.

Did his performance improve since back when you didn't think he was worthy? Well I don't recall my exact arguments at the time, but I know for a while there seemed to be a ton of power hitters in baseball. And I felt that players were going to need to do more than just be a power hitter to really set them apart (like Bagwell being so good defensively and a good baserunner, high AVG, etc). McGriff was a guy that was a HoF-caliber power hitter, but he didn't have an especially high AVG, he didn't run well, and he was fairly poor defensively even for a 1B, and, even as a good power hitter, he only cracked the top-5 MVP voting one season. Now that the offense has sort of returned to normal a little and we look back at the era, I feel his numbers do stand out pretty well. He's still borderline, but I think he's worthy.

Never finished higher than 9th in MVP voting. Played 22 years but never reached any of the big milestones. Spent more than half of his career as purely a DH. (And wasn't an elite hitter as a DH like Edgar Martinez or David Ortiz.)

I really wish Wagner had pitched one more year. He would have easily moved into the top-5 in Saves all-time, and with his ridiculously good rate stats he'd have a good chance at making the Hall. He still has a decent chance I think, but another season or two would have probably sealed it for him, imo.

But I can see HOFers considering everyone who has a 20-year career and their rationale for it. It's a ridiculously long time to play. Moyer is the only pitcher who faced Gary Matthews Jr. and Gary Matthews Sr. in the box

Not Hall of Healthy.

La Russa said: “I would love to get into a legitimate confrontation or debate where we pull out the stuff we looked at and that weak-ass superficial bulls— you look at.”
He's not a fan of y'alls "weak-ass, superficial bullshit" Sabremetrics. LOL.

Mostly old man yelling at a cloud nonsense to me. A different article I read had an argument about why Baines and not Oliver, which is a good one, whether you're a fan of sabermetrics or not.
More AS appearances, more SS, a batting title, career .300+ AVG, and actually had to play defense his whole career....
LaRussa supported his friend, which is the problem with HoF voting.
