Maybe this is all a ploy for Keuchel to come back at a discount.

Maybe this is all a ploy for Keuchel to come back at a discount. My guess is that more baseball "conspiracy theories" (juiced baseballs, game-fixing, blackmailed umps...) than most fans would be willing to admit are actually true.

Morton >>>>>Keuchel.....would be happy if Charlie re-signed to a 3 year, 50-55M deal.

At least the Astros are on pace to have 10 hits this game.

Correa has mastered the double play. Offense is ridiculous right now.

Springer needs a mental day off. He has no clue right now. A couple of these guys could probably do with 10 days on the DL for "muscle soreness" followed by a week-long rehab assignment in Corpus. In the meantime let White, Reed, Kemp, or Mayfield come up and do their thing. They couldn't be worse. Counting tonight’s game Springer is now 3-26 in his last 7 games. That matches his production in the 2017 ALCS. It is easy to forget that he followed up his 3-26 in the ALCS with an 0-4, 4 K performance in game #1 of the World Series before he decided to stop trying to pull every pitch into the left field bleachers. He should have to watch video of his every at-bat in the ALCS and World Series. Maybe that would jog his memory as to what doesn’t work for him and what does.

TOOTBLAN and GIDP in the same inning pretty much kill the rally

I agree, sometimes taking a day to review their own work would help much more than just going back to the batter's box and hoping that things will change.

I don’t know if Bregman was planning on a hit and run or something, but getting picked off exercises poor judgment. It’s not like the team was down just one run.

McHugh is looking like he'd do just fine every 5th day in the rotation... if a spot opens up.

Top of the sixth and the game is past the two hour mark, those trips to the mound count is really working.
