Can we all say something positive about other posters? I will start. Ol papa has a great farm report. Bortaz is green, which happens to be my favorite color. beyond legend, already mentioned posters, Olpapa and Bortaz, here are some kind words on a few of the posters here: Union is my BFAM, fellow posse and has great takes because they usually fall in line with my own. Sempersmom is the best cheerleader/fan we ever had..plus she puts up with our sh*t. Txheat greatest story teller and can put people in their place with the best of them VD, well he is the butt of a lot of jokes, but he is impervious, he stays true to himself and just takes it with a msiel. Bear and Batman - just great humor guys, fellow posse, wish they would post more Corch, every forum needs a heel...he is a good heel, because you know he is at least a fan of the team. Saint, good guy, fellow posse, comes off a little condescending, but usually what he says is right. Invader of the North - I think he his funny, and I am envious of his photo shop skills Bregmanfan and Paastrosfan - solid posters, good baseball knowledge, along with Olpapa, you can learn from them (Passes the torch to others to say something nice) something nice |

Somebody has to do it.  I agree with most of what thomas posted about us and won't comment on the guy he mentioned with Bregmanfan so as not to go back on my word. I admit to making some posts just to push the buttons of some folks. I enjoy exchanging ideas with Bregmanfan, unionstation, txheat, thomas, olpapa, and a few others. I love to brag on Jake to drive Bortaz nuts. We have a good forum......much better than the old one. If everyone agreed all the time, it would be a boring place. |

The trade season is already here.
Houston needs SP to push Mchugh back to the Bullpen and maybe to push Peacock there aswell.
They also have to figure out what the hell to do qith Kemp, Stassi, White and as I said before Marisnick if they cant replace his DEF.

Ive been saying Marcus Stroman and Aaron Sanchez. Grab them as a package deal set your self up to loose guys like Cole and McHugh in FA. .
Cole wont be back he is going money.
I would love for him to be back, but i just cant see it with his agent.
We could see another Dallas stand off with him.
McHugh just isnt a SP any more and is a RP. He doesnt think that so i could see him going ro puraue his dream of meritocracy at SP instead of great Career at RP.
Thats just two you have to feel not counting Miley.
James isnt ready
FRAMBER barely might be ready
And the rest are unknowns.
So why not go get both Stroman and Sanchez?
We have the prospects to do so and not hurt our system as badly.

Look for a Bat at OF/1B/C on the Trade Market.
Theres gotta be someone out there that wants to move someone.
I would still look into Nicholas Castellanos maybe call Baltimore about Trey Mancini.
Maybe look into Catchers like
Pedro Severino of Baltimore
Jon Hicks of Detroit
James McCann of the White Sox
Jorge Alfaro of the Marlins
Stephen Vogt of the Giants.
Just saying replace Stassi.
Alfaro is who i would aim for

I agree with everything you said up to the point of getting both Stroman and Sanchez. We do need one of them and I have heard that Stroman is a bit of a jackass so I wonder how he fits into our clubhouse if indeed he is. He is pitching better than Sanchez by a little this year so more thought should be given to how good a fit he would be. We should really focus on extending Miley and Peacock right now. If you get both of those guys back then you are pretty much set for next year with just one addition. |

I was in Austin doing some work the other day and was down by the UT campus. I had my truck running and had Wilcow on Sirius as I stood there entering some data into the system and you would not believe the looks I was getting from some of those kids as they passed by and heard the commentary about liberal dipsticks. |

They shouldn’t just let him swallow up so many AB’s at 1B just because they like him. Alvarez should rotate between there, LF, and DH with Gurriel the main one sacrificing playing time. |

What about Jorge Alfaro for Garrett Stubbs, Maxx Stassi and Jeremy Pena?
Would be worth it in the long run Alfaro would be a great back up guy slash DH.
Somwthing like that would be a great move to do for the Astros to make.
