Watching Corbin Martin pitch on Mother's Day was such a treat, I have to say I'm looking forward to it again this weekend.
It's too early to be sure, but looks like the Astros may have found their #4 starter for this year, and maybe a #2 in the not too distant future.

You all don't need to piss off sempersmom. They can't help themselves.

Unquestionably the best season stat-wise of his career if he can maintain this pace. Usually an Astro doesn't have a banner season when he's in his walk-year

The most encouraging aspect of this year, is that virtually all of our guys that had bad (for them) 2018 seasons are reverting back to their 2017 success. Springer, Reddick, Marisnick, and Correa all look really good. If Altuve gets healthy and comes back strong he'd be the final one.

The most disappointing (by far) aspect of the year for me is Whitley's crash and burn at AAA. I just don't get how he can morph from one of the brightest MLB prospects, and unhittable to a Batting Practice pitcher almost overnight.

Barring injury, that seems to be the most valid reason.

And he is. I'm sure the Astros will lose a couple games here soon and we'll all be bickering again, but it's nice to enjoy this winning streak and the top-of-the-hill moment on an off day.

Bregman is getting there but not quite. He’s still doing well, though. It’s a shame Altuve isn’t playing this weekend, but I’m liking Díaz as Correa’s double play partner. They work well together.

Yeah, Diaz had a slow start, but he has been a very good overall replacement for Marwin. He doesn't have the defensive versatility but I think he'll be a more productive hitter and a good enough fielder.

Kemp would have gotten a hr instead of a triple. Jake would smoke Kemp in a head to head race. Coach ...congratualations on your recent achievement of HOF status. Carpal Tunnel be damned.

Have you noticed that the guy who can't play and needs to be dumped is now hitting .313 .......OBP .361 SLG .597 OPS .958 I imagine he stays awhile and the useless White gets the boot.

Almost exactly the response we all expected. Thanks for being so predictable. Although I must say the concept of Corch being the arbiter of class gave me a truly unexpected giggle.

the Mariners defense tonight is absolutely comical.
Encarnacion opted not to take a sure out at 1B so he could throw home (and threw wildly), then the OF'ers made two errors (though only one was actually scored an error -- not sure why).
It would appear this Seattle team will not be threatening to take the AL West this year
