Holding on to players like that for no reason isnt smart baseball. Especially if they have holes like that on there team.
They could easily be filled so they can compete

Marcus Stroman is avaliable. That works Aaron Sanchez is available. That works Robbie Ray etc etc etc It does work. It just no what you wanna here with track records of players. Its the same every year. You will have to pay a price to get them but you dont want to. You would rathet play for Madbum which will be a medium price way to much for him. He is crappy js. Or Grienke, the Diamondbacks are looking for someone to be suckered on yhat contract. But there are several players that can be had. And thats why its a buyers market not a sellers I hope Bumgarner does not get traded to someone we face in the playoffs. Js! |

I honestly think the Astros could Dangle Jake Marisnick and Derek Fisher to the Giants and get Will Smith. This would be the plus we needed out of the Bullpen. This could open the Hole for Kyle Tucker with Myles Straw. I understand one or two of you think Jake is Untouchable but he does have value to a OF needy team like the Giants and fisher would be a sweetner. Only one person here thinks Jake is untouchable. |

So to look at a controllable pitcher thats out there.
And based off what we need to really push this team over board.
I would say J. Bukauskas, J.James have to be the two headliners.
I think they love Martin and Beer.
That being said, anything can happen.
D. Fisher, A. Toro, R. Armentaros and maybe a salary dump like Chris Devenski or Hector Rondon depending on who they like could net you Noah Syndergaard and Seth Lugo
Thats alot to give up. But look at what you are giving to what you will get.
You kill two birds with one stone.
Syndergaard goes straight to the #3 spot behind Cole. Solidifys the Starting rotation.
Lugo takes Devenskis spot hopefully I still have hope on Rondon.
And the Astros give up a hall but really look at what they give up.
Bukauskas (dont really see him cracking the top 5 at all and woulld most likely be a RP)
James (it hurts but we cash in on a late late late round pick who has gas. But wishy washy on his outings)
Fisher (5th OFer at best?)
Toro (Severally blocked by Bregman)
And
Armentaros (dont really see him cracking the top 5 of our rotation.)
