What bothers me the most about Altuve is him batting with a full count. 57 ABs going to a 3-2 count and he has 14 BBs and only a .140 avg with 22 Ks

Rumor says the Astros are considering bringing up Kent Emanuel. I would like to see them bring him up. He’s old enough now that he’s not considered a prospect anymore, I guess. He has been in the minors 7 years. That said, he did have a good year for Round Rock this year.

Breaking news from Astros.com. Brace yourselves. This will come as a shock:
“Shortstop Carlos Correa (back discomfort) hit off a tee in Houston and is making slow progress from the back injury that has sidelined him since Aug. 19.”

Rumor says the Astros are considering bringing up Kent Emanuel. More on Kent Emanuel. He has had a good second half of the season. In 10 games in July and August he posted a 1.92 ERA in 56.1 IP, allowing just 42 hits, 8 walks and striking out 39. I like his 1.79 GO/AO ratio for the season. I don’t like his platoon splits for the season. 4.52 ERA vs Righties, 2.08 ERA vs Lefties. He pitched 8 shutout innings in his last start, allowing just 1 hit, no walks and striking out 6 against San Antonio.

They know we need that weapon fully loaded for the postseason.

A double to Yelich is a win.

Bregman is really impressing me this season. I was worried last year may have been a little bit of a fluke and was going to regress some.
And he's done it while playing two tough positions. Even Trout doesn't do that.

I remember when Lyles was our best pitching prospect. Oh how the times have changed.

Speaking of results working out, Keuchel is up to 6-5 and his ERA+ is up to 125. That would put him just out of the top-10 in baseball if he had enough IP.

I can handle a boring game much better when we have a lead, tenuous as it is.
