I have a feeling the bullpen has a lot of work on the horizon with all the extra-inning games we're about to have. Unless the bats can wake up against good teams like they did last year

The Angels have used their closer for two games straight, and one of those was a 28-pitch appearance. They can put him out there a third night, but all the studies on this show that his fastball velocity will probably be down a few mph and he will have noticeable less break on his breaking balls. They'd probably get better pitching out of a non-closer but habits die hard....

Astros could skate by with that against a crappy team like the White Sox, but against Boston, Anaheim, NYY etc. it's just not possible to go down that path and expect to win.
