I don't really think you can hold an arrogant attitude against a dude when he was one of the best to ever play the game. Sometimes, the arrogance is earned. Arrogance is never earned. Respect is.
Arrogance is always dishonorable. It's root is narcissism. It leads to fascist socialism, an elite leadership position of course. We get it, you’re conservative. No need to flex that at every turn.

That's probably a shoop but I'm sure most Red Sox fans are rooting for ABY.

As classless as the Yankee fans are, I kind of enjoyed the chants of "A-Roid, A-Roid, A-Roid" that rang out for the FS1 panel after the conclusion of Game 3. Just shows how the rats turn on their own.

Exactly how I feel about Alex Rodriguez. Strangely enough, I don't have any issues with ARod.
We all know he's still on the Yankee payroll so his antics don't bother me.
My personal opinion of ARod is that he never quite fit in with the fans. It was always Jeter's team. Alex got caught cheating and he has never been able to live it down. He's trying too hard to get their acceptance.

It's been my observation that phenomenally talented people (in whatever field of endeavor) tend to become arrogant. It's a common human failing. One of the problems of society today is that there are a lot of people running around who think they're more talented or more intelligent or more worthy than they really are (see the Democratic Party). Hubris can be dangerous.

A-Rod used banned substances multiple times. Lied about it. Tried to cover it up. Made excuses for why he used once he finally admitted he had used.
The only thing I will give him credit for is that he didn't throw a shit fit about the findings being made public when they were supposed to be anonymous during testing.
As for Yankee fans not liking him, he had a .973 OPS in their only WS appearance with him on the team.

A-Rod is arrogant because he was good. Case closed.

By that I mean they're humorous partly because you get your point across perfectly fine without them

So does anybody here NOT think that Abreu will be replaced by Straw on the WS roster (provided we advance)?

So does anybody here NOT think that Abreu will be replaced by Straw on the WS roster (provided we advance)? Abreau will not be replaced by straw because they carry more pitching for 7 game series. Abreu could be replaced by another pitcher and Straw could replace a position player, but it still wouldn't be Abreu for Straw unless they add a position player and subtract pitcher. I don't think that will happen. However; we might see an interesting use of Greinke in Washington.

Do you mean if it goes into extra innings, and Jake is in the OF and all other PHs have been used, Greinke bats for him?

I don't understand the questions about the ball not traveling as well as it did in the summer. Cold air is denser than hot air. Why the fuss? I suspect an analysis of game temperature and HR rates would bear this out.

Albeit in limited appearances, Greinke sports a 165 OPS+ for the Astros. 122 OPS+ for the year in 54 plate appearances including 3 HR.
