I told everyone that this shit would not end. Here's another "pile-on" feminazi article from yes, a female SJW warrior from USA Today. Again, exploiting the WS for their bullshit agena. www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/nancy-armour/2019/10/22/mlb-should-discipline-astros-behavior-roberto-osuna/4062752002/Snipit exerpts below.... MLB needs to address Houston Astros' troubling history of toxic behavior
The Houston Astros are Major League Baseball’s worst nightmare.
Already reprimanded once this season by the league for fundamental immaturity, the Astros created another headache on the eve of the World Series by lying about the Neanderthal-like behavior of one of their assistant general managers. Instead of promoting the Jose Altuve fan club or musing about the impact such a long layoff will have on the Washington Nationals, the focus in the hours before Game 1 is now squarely on the Astros and why they continue to exhibit such toxic behavior.
Sports Illustrated reported Monday night that Astros assistant general manager Brandon Taubman shouted “Thank God we got (Roberto) Osuna! I’m so (expletive) glad we got Osuna!” in the direction of three female reporters after Houston beat the New York Yankees on Saturday night to reach the World Series. Rather than apologizing, or even trying to spin the incident as an unfortunate misunderstanding, the Astros doubled down on their boorishness.
“The story posted by Sports Illustrated is misleading and completely irresponsible,” the Astros said in a statement. “We are extremely disappointed in Sports Illustrated’s attempt to fabricate a story where one does not exist.”
Except it wasn’t fabricated.
Hunter Atkins, a reporter for the Houston Chronicle, quickly refuted the Astros’ statement, saying on Twitter, “I was there. Saw it. And I should’ve said something sooner.” The Chronicle later published a story saying three eyewitnesses, two of whom were its own reporters, had confirmed SI’s account.
Unsurprisingly, the Astros had no response. Disappointingly, neither did MLB.
Teams are given wide latitude in their operations, and rightly so. But when they traffic in misinformation and misogyny, or create a hostile environment for reporters, it is incumbent upon the league to step in. The Astros have shown repeatedly that crassness is a core value, and that is something that should be of great concern to MLB.
When a petulant Justin Verlander demanded in August that a reporter he didn’t like be barred from the clubhouse until he was done talking, the Astros should have patiently explained the role of the media and why MLB has deemed it important enough to include in the collective bargaining agreement. Instead, the Astros kowtowed to their star pitcher and, without any evidence, disparaged the reporter Verlander found so bothersome.
MLB let the Astros know they were in the wrong. But Taubman’s behavior, and the team’s defiant absolution of it, shows Houston is going to operate under its own rules and it doesn’t much care what anyone thinks of that.My repsonse to Nancy Armour.... Go f__ yourself.

Wow, Nancy is pretty free with the ad hominems, ain't she. Exactly. What sucks most about this, is that I view baseball as an escape from all this SJW garbage that we are bombarded with 24/7/365. These low lifes can't help themselves, and want to f'n ruin everything.

I'll just go ahead and say it: Women have no business in a male team's locker room, period.

I'll just go ahead and say it: Women have no business in a male team's locker room, period. I've been thinking that since Anita Martini won her invasion law suit. But the appropriate response would have been to make the locker room off limits to all reporters like the women's tennis group, not parade around in their birthday suits in some macho attempt to intimidate the "ladies.".

I don't know why reporters need to be in the locker room at all. They can meet with players/staff after they're dressed.

ps The Bathroom debate is similar. 3 bathrooms. One biological males. One biological females. One confused and/or mentally disturbed or unisex.
If there are less than 3 bathrooms, then make them all unisex with a lock on the door.

There has been video on the internet this season of Verlander walking around totally nude in full view of the camera while reporters were interviewing another player just feet away.

I think reporters like the idea they can accost a player while somewhat vulnerable. (unclothed). There was a time not too long ago where sports and societal issues were not mixed or added as an intent of a sports report. Instead of what ball did Scherzer throw, it is now "how often do you beat your wife" The garbage that is out there now, can't help themselves.

And the players should be banned from social media while in the clubhouse or locker room too. Just a week or so ago some football player posted a video from a football team's locker room with one of the linemen's schlongs hanging out.
No reporters. No social media. Locker rooms are for showering, changing, preparing.

Abreu removed from WS roster, Devenski added. Tucker on the roster over Straw.

Another intangible that kind of bothers me. We have reached the expectation, the Nationals have far exceeded theirs.
Less pressure on them? They are pretty much playing with house money now.

I think there has to be way less pressure on them. Rendon probably feels a little because his free agency value is partly hinged on this now (although he has looked good so far), but that's about it. Scherzer might feel a little because he likely knows this is his best shot at winning a ring, and his otherwise potential HOF-worthy resume is lacking that.
The Astros are the clear favorites, but they've had expectations on them all postseason and have managed to live up to them despite having to grind it out quite a bit.

Ordinarily, a team with the post season experience and success the Astros have should be a clear favorite, and, I think that is the case here. We should live up to expectations and win it in six games or less.

The last World Series to have two clubs who finished Top 3 in starter ERA was Dodgers/Yankees in 1981 That was an evenly-matched World Series that could've gone either way. Nando showed that anyone can step up and be the hero

Why would anyone parade around stating I LOVE OSUNA, GLAD WE GOT HIM! after that and not say anything about Altuve or even Springer? There definitely was something there in context, however, it can't be proven as all he did was say what he did.
It should be a non-issue, however, as this is basically a closed room (albeit with reporters), not on a national stage, and nothing derogatory was actually stated. This reeks of a child complaining to a teacher that another classmate told them to "HAVE A NICE DAY!" but didn't mean it.

You nailed it. The assistant's GM's response oddly shouldn't have been a proclamation of joy. Bortaz alluded to earlier, and I agree. This lady was baiting, and trolling the guy. If you would have gotten the prior 10 minutes of interaction, I'd bet the farm the bitch was throwing false accusatory shit at him, and the team. What you and the rest of us were treated to was just the framed last 2 minutes of that interaction. These types are to be seriously mistrusted. Way back before my retirement, my company spent huge amounts of money to train us managers on how do deal with the sleazy media. Lesson 1, was that their (media) intent is to slant the interview, and try to make you look as bad as possilble. That helps sell papers, TV ad slots, improve ratings, and rake in general advertising dollars. The media in general are 90% low lifes. Don Henley, oddly best captured the true persona of what the media is all about.

If our own hometown paper has multiple reporters confirming the story, it's hard to believe there isn't more to it. I don't think it's anything insidious the way SI is making out to be. I think it was just a drunk guy that thought he was being funny and f*cked up.
