I still have a feeling that we're going to see a major sanction against Luhnow...and I fear it's going to include a ban. They banned a few guys over the last couple of years, including the guy from ATL who cheated on the international draft system.

Didn't they ban the STL hacker?

It appears that the "smartest guys in the room" moniker the Astros picked up over the past couple of years is an illusion. Electronic transmissions never die. Leaving an electronic paper trail is just plain dumb. But I think you're right. Heads will roll over this.

They sure need to have someone tell them what “discoverable” means.

This all makes me feel there was a reason why Springer looked REALLY lost at the plate this postseason.

They sure need to have someone tell them what “discoverable” means. And more important.... verifiable, and comprehensive if the MSM complex want to turn this sport into a Game of Saints. If we are looking at high stakes punative measures like bans, this investigation needs to be expanded to all 30 teams. Thus far all this bullshit has been based on heresay. And like I said earlier, does MLB really want to open this can of worms? I'd venture the number of teams that have not tried to get an advantage over another team under questionable tactics. Probably 0-5, and likely closer to zero. Just like back in the '60's when Durocher accused of turning on the dome AC only when his team came up to bat, and believe me that story had legs at the time (ridiculously). If the COB wants to turn this into a clown show, they might as well play a game of "Game Viabilty Russian Roulette" with 5 of 6 in the chamber. Luhnow is a smart guy. If they want to ruin him, I hope he creates a shit storm of epic proportion.

The more I see videos on the Astros, the more they look guilty of some level of wrongdoing. I see a storm brewing on the horizon. The sound on the video reminds me of the M-V-P that we clap along with at the games. I know I'm biased towards my Astros but I think someone doctored that video using that exact sound. The east coast bias fanboys are working overtime to make the Astros look bad. I hope next season our guys come out and go to the World Series once again.

We took the Yankees down off their pedestal and the Yankees are media darlings who they think get them top ratings. The Astros continuing to eliminate the Yankees doesn't endear them to the East coast media. They are not above planting this crap after they doctor the video.

But I'm afraid you're going to be very, very disappointed. The Yankees didn't hack that dude's email where he was telling the scouts to cheat, and they didn't brainwash Mike Fiers and make him snitch.

You and I are in total agreement........this whole thing was instigated by the Yankees and the media that loves them.......Some of them like Mad Dog Russo come right out and admit to being big Yankee fans. Lots of people probably lost money when we eliminated the Yankees again.

I want to hear some names, phone owners, dates, times, and other specifics. Like so much else, those accused are getting tried by the court of public opinion. Was Luhnow or Hinch implicated? Bullpen pitcher? Who please. If it is confimed, or proven, wanna bet how many other teams are employing the same tactic? Let's go scorched earth, and investigate every team. Then let the f'n chips fly where they may. Otherwise, clickbait shit like "The Athletic" can STFU.

In the past, I have seen folks on Yankee boards suggesting planting false evidence on the BoSox of wrongdoing. Not that far fetched.

You are on the right track....If the Astros are doing what they are accused of doing .....and, as of yet, there is no concrete proof of their guilt......other teams are doing the same damn thing. The COB doesn't dare do a full scale investigation because of what would probably be found.......all over both leagues. This "they" said stuff is total bullshit until it is proven to be accurate. I doubt if anything can be traced directly to Luhnow or Hinch. But., if they do want to dig into this all the way, then, go all the way and investigage every team in both leagues for the same thing.\ \ I am going to have to see concrete evidence before I believe this stuff wasn't created by the Yankees who are reeling from being knocked out by the Astros the last three times the teams have met in the post season.

Talking about seeing if they can pick out signs from the dugout is different from actually reading signs from the catcher and transmitting them to the dugout/clubhouse.
It looks bad, but it doesn't mean they did something against the rules.
(Although I believe something a little beyond the rules was happening.)

Why didn't you post the rest of the article that says the Astros fired 8 of the scouts in August 2017 after finding out about what was on this e-mail?

Apparently, the reach of Yankees fans and media is so long that they can even get a pitcher for the Oakland Athletics to make up vile lies about those mouthy upstart Astros.

Things like elaborate stealing is only do-able at home. Before we discuss the joys of cheating, let me remind everyone what our 2017 Home / Away splits though. Home... 48-33 .593 Away... 53-28 .654 If we were cheating, we sure were damn bad at it.
