Probly cause Sanchez, Ross and Corbin started the DC games Old Man Zimmerman homering in Game 1 as well as Brantley not going for broke on Soto’s double ended up being the difference. Or Springer not running out his non-HR.

Springer was right about that play. Tucker went back and touched second before running to third, even though the ball wasn't caught I've never seen a major leaguer do that. I'd be WTH too if I rounded first and saw that

I'm not holding it against him, and it didn't blow the game. I just think it did make a difference to an extent.

I really don’t know how I feel about it. I’m a bit ambivalent pertaining to the whole thing. Let me be concise. 5. Mike Fiers should never step foot in Houston again, that worthless ingrate. This team needs to clean up its image now. After the Taubman thing and now this, they need to avoid becoming an organization that repels talent. It will be interesting when the A's come to town next season.

Snioit From a November 14th NYT piece on the fiasco.....
Fiers led the team in innings pitched that season, but the Astros left him off the roster in October. The next spring, with the Detroit Tigers, Fiers acknowledged that it stung to watch his teammates win without the chance to help.
“Of course,” he said. “I busted my butt all year. I didn’t end the year as well as I could have, and I guess it was just the timing of it. I wasn’t pitching as well in September, so they kept me off the roster. It stinks, but that organization is going to do what they feel is right.”
Besides the "buuthurt" aspect, why is no one quesitioning Fier's motive in blowing the whistle. I think this alone disqualifies him for any investigation findings, unless he has written, phone, or tape evidence. Revenge is a nasty dish, and is served with relishment.
In additon, I have spent near an hour researching for anything that shows implications of team in this matter. RIGHT NOW>.... All we got is the Fier's accusation. At last glance, Hinch and Luhnow are not even on the list to interview.
So when butt heads like Nathan scream "No one will be spaired". Chalk it up to additonal rumormongering. This isn't a good situation, but pseudo-fans like him are only stoking the flames.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why our offense was dynamic in DC and so AAA at home. Probly cause Sanchez, Ross and Corbin started the DC gamesVery good point, Bear.

Before another dumbass accusation and innuendo bomb, which of these two seem more competent, believable, and trustworthy as an investigative source? Let's hear from the GM before any more stupid comments. Luhnow has demonstrated an uncanny ability for this game, and I still have trouble believing he would put that up for risk, based on a stupid "cheating" episode that likely didn't help them anyway. JS Nathan.....

I wouldn't believe that stupid son of a bitch in the top photo under any conditions.........He whined when he got pulled out of games so it stands to reason he would lie to get even with the Astros for dumping him. I wish we could convict the piece of shit of perjury. He's a butt hurt loser......period. That damn photo says all we need to know about Fiers' mental state. I want to vomit each time I think of trading Hader to the Brewers for that asshole and Gomez.

I do believe there was some form of chicanery around how the team was utilizing data and information for a strategic advantage. That is smart baseball. But what sucks is the bat shit crazy loonies have gotten drum banging, buzzing bandaids, whistles, and god knows what else into the collective mindset of the stupid fan population. Whether what comes to light breaks MLB rules, remains to be seen, and the stupidfied press going "all in" on a dumb f__ like Fiers, is pure idocracy. Depending on the severity of the punative penalites, I beg, repeat beg that the organization goes after the throat of MLB, to insure that whatever retribution handed is equitable among all 30 teams. Let's air out all the f'n dirty laundry RIGHT NOW..... Maybe the saddest part of this whole sordid affair are the fans, who rather than circled the wagons, have thrown the team under the bus.

Watching videos and listening to talk shows on the radio is sickening. I can't count how many of them essentially said "Sure, all teams do this, but they really need to come down hard on the Astros." and call for a playoff death penalty or Luhnow banning or Crane forced to sell the team.

From a competition standpoint, a postseason temporary ban makes no sense. Why would the Astros try to win? Isn’t that a marked advantage for opponents?
