Please, offense, don’t shoot your wad in the first game of the series. I want them shooting their wad frequently and forcefully.

It's tiring getting one's hopes up after the offense has a game like this

Please, offense, don’t shoot your wad in the first game of the series. No lead is safe with our BP. Save nothing for tomorrow...Jesus might come back tonight and the opportunity would be wasted.

Keep piling on. Build up the confidence. Get some momentum.

This is a good opportunity tio leave the bullpen as weak as possible to support Manaea.

Hinch is glad nobody will question his moves today. So when do you think he will pull Keuchel +/-. I give Keuchel 6 innings.

Guirrel and Bregman need to get hits here to kind of get some action in.

That would have been infuriating if Gurriel had given up on that hit in a tight game.
In this case it was inconsequential, but it showed poor baserunning habits and situational awareness.

Olpapa and I had a conversation about it just the other day and speculated that perhaps trying to keep their trade value up was a possible reason. There have been a couple of other threads during this road trip where it came up as well.
