These are the Astros’ Low A - AAA affiliates for 2022:
Low A - Fayetteville Woodpeckers High A - Asheville Tourists AA - Corpus Christi Hooks AAA - Sugarland Skeeters
Fayetteville, Asheville and Corpus all open their season on May 4. Sugarland’s season opener is on May 6.
Interesting fact..... Garrett Stubbs is listed on the Skeeters roster. His little brother C.J. (also a catcher) is on Hooks roster.
Carlos Correa’s little brother J.C. (also a SS) is on the ‘peckers roster.

Any thoughts on who would be good in the 3rd round?

Any thoughts on who would be good in the 3rd round? No. Abregmanfan might. He keeps up with draft related stuff much more than I do.

I hope Garrett's brother is treated better than they have treated him.

Any thoughts on who would be good in the 3rd round? Our picks do begin in the 3rd round this year (pick 87). A note though, for compensation for losing Springer we get an extra pick at the end of round 4 (pick 132 overall).

Reading those protocols, you wonder how many fans are going to be let in the stadium. Which you know has a lot of breathing space.

What sucks is you only that age once for some players to have that opportunity. The clown governor in Michigan is worse than the governor of PA.

If that is the case that is a real consequence of the cheating scandal, odds of getting any compensation for the loss of Springer at that pick is nil.

I think we're missing out on two 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder this year, after missing out on a 1st rounder and 2nd rounder last year. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but five top picks over the last two years.

Looks like the Astros are serious about their Pedro Leon SS experiment. He is starting at SS and leading off for the Hooks tonight.

J.P. France had a nice start for Corpus last night. Allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, struck out 11 and walked just 1. Here is a kid who might be worth keeping an eye on. Hunter Peck. Left hander. He came on in the 8th inning for Corpus. Threw 2 shutout innings. Struck out 5, walked 1 and allowed 1 hit. I found this at his college website: ggcathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/hunter-peck/861

He is 6'3. Above average physically. Explosive bat thru the zone but tends to pop up more than I like at times. Best suited for 3rd base but can play 1st if needed. Love him on the mound. I heard that he might focus on academics in the future, but he will have plenty of chances to play college ball if he chooses.
