I did notice in Julia's mural though during the Twins series, that Jake was one of the 7 Astros that the artist painted. He sure is a fan favorite Exactly why fans opinions should never be taken seriously, including the ASG vote. |

The managers did a good job back when they made the selections, but for some reason they think the players do it better even though they don't

Fans are way better picking the starters than the job the players do on the reserves. If the players picked the starters, you'd have Mendoza-line BAs mixed in You leave Omar Infante alone. |

I'm putting together a hypothesis that Coach doesn't like certain players because they don't look like "ballplayers" as he subconsciously (or maybe consciously) thinks they should look, regardless of their performance. Players he doesn't like:White - Chubby and bearded Stassi - Chubby and bearded Kemp - Little dainty looking guy. Altuve - Very little guy Keuchel - Tattooed and fancy-bearded Players he does like: Marisnick - Tall and strong Anybody else we can add to these lists that would fit the hypothesis?

I had zero faith in Kyle Tucker. Called it when i daid he wont be much. He still has time to turn it around but damn. You put im on a high horse and he got kicked off really quick.
Looking at what would be good adds
Boyd the reliver
Stroman
Maybe
Archer if he becomes avaliable
I think Stassi has to go so a good back up who can hit at .250ish
Yordan replaces White.
And some other OFer replaces Kemp.
Marisnick does have small value but his bat is his key to staying. His def is A+++ but is bat is bad.

I think he hits well enough to be a sub. Stassi is nothing more than a backup catcher who should only start against lefties on occasion. It’s too soon to tell on Tucker, but he doesn’t seem ready for this season as we thought. Marisnick is a good guy and all, but his contributions are overrated. They’re paying him $3 million, I believe, to run around and catch a ball. He’s not Kiermaier or Buxton level of awesome out there. I’m totally with you on White, though. If they want to keep him on the roster, fine, but how about just sending him to a local 24 Hour Fitness? |
